⬇️⬇️⬇️I’ve been back in America for a little over 2 months and some things still shock me. I truly FORGOT how obsessed the USA is with Halloween. ????Is it me, or are Halloween decorations more over the top than ever before? ???? EVERYTHING IS HUGE. The size of the paper towel roll, the size of fridges, the size of the toilet paper roll, the size of cars. Trucks! Portions! Drinks! Houses! HUGE. Sometimes it feels like a fun house. ????Convenience is king. Parking is everywhere. Driving is SO. MUCH. EASIER. And things stay open so late. I can buy a gallon of milk, a rotisserie chicken, and a Christmas tree at midnight. ???????? People say hello… a lot! I love it! This could also be a Texas thing. ????Billboards. There are so many billboards. And ads in general. Including prescription drugs. ????Sales tax surprise That moment when $19.99 becomes $21.73 at checkout and you forgot tax isn’t included in the price. ???????? The flags EVERYWHERE On houses, cars, clothing, napkins. The sheer volume of American flags in everyday life. #expat #halloween #decor #lifeabroad #sheisnotlost #usa #europe #usavseurope #americanabroad

Yes, that person is wearing pajamas. It’s me. I didn’t want to film anyone so I went to the store today and propped my phone in the extensive cereal selection ???? I’m still missing my British grocery store meal deals. After living abroad and experiencing the simplicity of European grocery stores, coming back to an American supermarket feels like entering a fever dream, but so many choices! Where French stores have their wall of yogurt and Montenegro has industrial-sized paprika tins, we have... whatever this beautiful chaos is. An entire aisle that’s just chips. Cheese that comes in a CAN. Breakfast cereals that would make Willy Wonka jealous. Somewhere between the pharmacy counter, the wall of frozen dinners, and the 47 varieties of peanut butter, we’ve created something truly unhinged. America = abundance! Welcome to American grocery shopping, where Pop-Tarts are breakfast, spray cheese is real, and yes, that person in pajamas buying a 5-pound bag of shredded cheese at 2 PM is living their truth. ???????????? #americavseurope #grocerystores #lifeabroad #expat #usa #europe #groceries

After walking hundreds of mies in Europe and the USA I’m sorry to say it but Europe wins overall. After completeling the cotswold way in England and Stevenson’s Trail in France we have nothing like this in the USA. These trails are dotted all over Europe and you hike and stop in towns along the way. I’ve been back in America for 2 months and this is wha I miss the most! #europevsusa #usa #europe #walking #cultureshocks #america #hiking #trails #cotswoldway #righttoroam #walk #hike

My book is here!!! It's about the magic of life. About mystery. About love that doesn't arrive on schedule. About a woman who loses everything and finds herself. About the way a single trip — a single book — a single moment of being brave enough to go anyway — can change everything. What if one trip to England could change the course of your life? For Eva Coleman, it does. A mysterious book falls at her feet in a London bookshop. Inside? Handwritten notes pointing to York. One impulsive train ride later, she’s wandering through Christmas markets, unraveling century-old mysteries, and discovering that sometimes getting everything you planned for isn’t nearly as magical as getting what you never expected. I wrote this book during a time when I was questioning everything—my path, my purpose, my place in the world. Eva’s journey to York became my own journey of self-discovery. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll spark something in you too. This is for anyone who’s ever felt stuck. For the dreamers who still believe in magic. For the Christmas lovers who need a cozy escape. For everyone who’s wondered if there’s more to life than the perfectly planned path. What if one book could change everything? ‼️Comment “MAGIC” and I’ll send you the link! Huge thanks to @harpernorthuk @harpercollinsuk @harpercollins for this incredible project and your belief in me!!

Felt cute might sell it later. Truly I am DUMBFOUNDED by the Louvre museum heist. The most famous museum in the world and in under 7 minutes they stole millions of priceless jewelry. I wish this was a heist for Ocean’s 8 - how is this real?! #louvre #paris #heist #napoleon #louvremuseum

Europe has castles and cobblestones. Texas? We have Fried Butter. This is the largest state fair in the U.S. — 24 days of fried food, rides, and chaos. Big Tex is 55 feet tall, and he talks to you. We fry everything from Oreos to Dr. Pepper. And yes… someone actually deep-fried butter and won an award for it. Welcome to the State Fair of Texas — where your diet and dignity go to die (but in the best way). This is the best state fair in the world but I am very biased. I’m born and raised Texan and this is my fav event event year I heard crowds were down this year and I did NOT see that to be the case. But yes it is expensive ???? #statefairoftexas #texas #butter #friedfood #corndog #fletchers #fletcherscornydogs #sheisnotlost #everythingsbiggerintexas #dallas

Did you know Oxford hides one of the world’s most extraordinary bookshops? Blackwell’s has been my favorite writng sanctuary - there’s something magical about crafting stories surrounded by 145 years of literary history. From the tiny 12-foot shop that opened in 1879 to today’s wonderland with 3 MILES of shelving, this place breathes stories. The Norrington Room alone is worth the visit - imagine descending into an underground cathedral of books that holds a Guinness World Record! One of my favorite parts about living in Oxford was how normal it was to be into books. Everyone was always carrying a book or a book bag, and it just feels so wonderfully right - like the whole city gives you permission to be as bookish as your heart desires. No one bats an eye when you read at cafés for hours or carry stacks of books down Broad Street. Fun fact: I wrote parts of my brand new book ‘Mistletoe and Magic’ in their café, fueled by endless flat whites and the energy of thousands of stories surrounding me ✨ Now my book sits on these legendary shelves - still pinching myself! ???? Comment “BOOK” for the link to my book! ???? Save this for your Oxford visit ???? Perfect Christmas gift for book lovers! @harpernorthuk @harpercollins #blackwells #oxfordbookshop #bookishreel #bookstorelove #norringtonroom #oxfordlife #bookishcontent #mistletoeandmagic #christmasbooks #bookpreorder #bookishchristmas #indiebookstore #booklovers #writerslife #authorlife #booklaunch #historicbookshops #bookishplaces #oxford
