Hi Friends!? I apologize for not posting as much on social media recently. I would like to share a recent experience prior to doing this very sweet bride Navpreet’s henna a couple of months ago in Detroit?. A couple of months ago I had to go through an unfortunate experience at one of my bookings which left me feeling really anxious and traumatized for weeks as I have never been insulted, or assaulted by any of my clients or their family members. In a nutshell, the brides drunk uncle got angry that I was taking so long to do the brides henna as he saw me for 7.5 hours at this point but without knowing why or the number of breaks taken, hair/ makeup touch ups I provided for the bride or the 1-1.5 hours I waited for the photographer to take some pictures of the bride & family while I wasn’t done yet. Even after having a panic attack at the booking, I finished my brides henna, pinned her chunni for her remaining pictures, and made sure her hair and makeup was ok because that’s what I would do for all of my brides & never want to leave a bride unhappy/ unfinished.

However, I/ our team will not tolerate anything like this in the future and we have the right to leave a booking especially if put under so much stress and not being respected for our work. No artist or person should have to put up with that especially when doing their job.

Bridal henna can take me anywhere from 2-7+ hours to do, depending on the design, intricacy, length and the number of breaks and interruptions during the process of it. Henna is my passion, I love to create designs for my brides/clients, I love getting to meet so many wonderful individuals, and their family and friends and I love to see them all happy at the end❤️. It is a process but I enjoy every minute of doing henna and the experience that comes with it and making connections with so many of my clients is the best part of it?.

I had so much fun doing henna for our beautiful bride inside and out, Navpreet. It was a pleasure meeting her, getting to know her and so many of her kind family/ friends throughout the day which reminded me of why I love doing what I do, and how rewarding it is for me. (Continue in comments...)
