Hi friends! ❤️ It’s been 4 months since my last post (for no particular reason- just enjoying life and lots going on), so I thought I’d give you guys a quick update! ???? Swipe! 2. We sold our apartment and moved North after 10 years in Oslo ????❤️ The main reasons for the move were to get out of the city, live closer to nature and family, as well as closer to a hospital for my year in residency. 3. From May to August we were technically homeless ???? so we spent a lot of time at our summer house which is safe to say our favorite place to create childhood memories. 4. We have also tested the tents ;) 5. A few weeks in the camper of course- equally amazing and chaotic with 6 people lol 6. It’s been a summer filled with so much quality time with friends and family. 7. We moved to Ålesund! Found an old house online in a super sweet location 3 weeks before moving and rented it before even having seen it. It’s been so sweet to have a big garden and a few more rooms than what we had in Oslo ???????? 8. the crew strollin down to paddleboard! 9. Quickly became chicken farmers ???? 10. I’ve started my year in residency at the hospital where I’ll be rotating between departments for a year. It’s been fun to get more experience, but also a rough start with long shifts after a year in maternity leave. Thankfully working reduced hours, so I still can spend a lot of time with the kiddos. 11. When I work, Samuel is running the most fun daddy daycare with our 3 youngest plus any other kids he can find haha.. they are def living their best lifes ???? Samuel gladly works 50% and only remotely so most of his meetings look like this????.. on top of that he has casually started a @saunaes business with his friend! 12. Ålesund’s nature is bomb 13. Our youngest buddy turned 1 ???????? 14. And our oldest buddy is loving school! How time has flown by???? So proud. 15. Lots and lots of free play. 16. Samuel is still the coolest dad ever 17. Mom tries too, sometimes ???? 18. I have entered my hobby era and have been sewing a lot this summer… 19. …like these vests :) 20. Still very much in love with this guy❤️

Saying goodbye to this amazing place and entering a new chapter in life! We are moving from Oslo after 10 wonderful years. Wish we could stay in this apartment forever, but we have somehow outgrown it ????✌???? And we are anyhow excited for something new, closer to family and more mountains! So many memories made here and we will forever be thankful for this season.

Happy May 17th, Norway! ???????? We love our country and our Constitutional Day. ???? Also is there anything cuter than kids in bunads… I don't think so ???? We are so happy we got to celebrate in my home town with both sets of parents today- so fun showing my Finnish in-laws some of our most cherished traditions!

Living their best lives ✌???? Our summer house will be our base from now on, and I definitely don’t mind! The plan is to sell our apartment in Oslo in May (keep your eyes out! ????), then we’ll make the big move to Ålesund this August… so exciting! But for now, you’ll find us right here…taking life slow ????????

A random evening on maternity leave with my kiddos ????❤️ Everything I could want and so much more! Oh man, the memories we have made from our 3 months in Hawaii. I guess the kids averaged a good 8-10h daily outdoors, no screens except Saturday mornings, and none of their friends with phones… just hours and hours of free play outside coming up with all kinds of games… Running over to their friends’ house and knocking on their door to ask if they want to come out to play, just like the good old days. We got them proper walkie talkies too so we could stay connected if they ran to the playground on campus or something like that and they loved it haha… so fun. Anyways now we’re back in Norway, but still on leave for a few months so we are squeezing in all the family time possible and will hopefully continue to stay lots outdoors… ????????
