@usacrime WARNING: The video may be graphic to some users, viewer discretion is advised / Video shared for information, transparency and awareness ⠀ NEW YORK — An execution caught on video shows the chilling moment a female assassin shot another woman in back of the head in Brooklyn Wednesday night. ⠀ Video released by police shows 42-year-old Delia Johnson speaking to a group of people at around 9:40pm on Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights — when she was gunned down by a female shooter. ⠀ Footage shows the suspect walk up on Johnson and shoot her in back of the head. As Johnson hits the ground, the woman fires several other shots before walking back to a white sedan and driving off. ⠀ When officers arrived at the scene they found Johnson unresponsive and unconscious with gunshot wounds to head and legs, police said. ⠀ She was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police. ⠀ Family members believe the shooter followed Johnson from a funeral in the neighborhood earlier in the day. ⠀ Although police have not released a motive for the shooting, her sister Cordelia Barry believes jealousy could be at cause. ⠀ “She was Miss Electric. She was the life of the party. She was a rainbow,” Cordelia said. “She had her own business. She was an entrepreneur – fashion was her passion. When you succeed in life that way, people are jealous.” ⠀ Police have yet to make an arrest.

The Detroit Police Department has launched an investigation after two of its officers were seen fleeing from a drive-by shooting that happened in front of them, dashcam video shows. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ The incident unfolded near Schoolcraft and Greenfield back on June 30, sources say. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Footage shows a man in blue shorts walking outside near an establishment when a blue sedan suddenly pulls up in front of him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ A man in the back seat hung outside the window opens fire with a semi-automatic rifle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Video then appears to show the officers speeding away instead of jumping into action. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ DPD Interim Chief James White said the officers did return to help the victim — who was shot in the leg but survived. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Retired Detroit assistant police chief Steve Dolunt said the officers in question did not come clean about what happened. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ The department is investigating wether the officers called in the shooting or not. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ "It appears they were hiding something at first because again, it came to light through a routine investigation of the cameras," said Dolunt. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ The female officer who was behind the wheel was immediately suspended. The other officer involved is on medical leave. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ A final decision on their future with DPD will ultimately be decided.
