It's a number of reasons why I have developed insomnia, mainly personal, so I'm always looking for ways to enjoy a good night's rest. • • • I have heard a lot about weighted blankets and how the added pressure is supposed to help you fall asleep quicker. They are also good for anxiety and stress. • • • • I like the blanket. I enjoyed the sense of security the blanket offered. I wouldn't say I fell asleep faster, but it did help ease my body so I could sleep... If that makes sense. My son loved sleeping with it too. The blanket is made of glass beads and is HEAVY. I got a really good work out trying to fold that thing. When she got to pre-K she was kicked out after 6 months. • • Last Wednesday she was suspended from school and by Friday she was kicked out of her daycare for good. She is extremely intelligent and she really is a sweet kid. I got to thinking about how can I break her out of her own bad habits when I can't even break my own. I have a troubled past and childhood that has left me a little angry (a lot ). I have a terrible temper ( which has improved in my opinion ) and slight anger issues. I don't always make the best decisions when I am a little rattled. • • That is why I began reading the books I have listed. I want to be a positive example for my kids and teach them how to handle their emotions by being able to actually do those things myself. Sometimes as a parent you have to take ownership in how your child acts.
