*** GIVEAWAY*** If you would have told younger me I’d be drinking and loving a root beer float made from vegan ice cream and sugar free @zevia creamy root beer soda I would have probably said “ewwww” and then ran straight into traffic (I wasn’t the brightest child). What’s your favorite thing I’ve made so far? Because this week’s vid will be mine. I’ve spent 80+ days living alone in the woods. This is my life now. If I want warmth, I chop wood. Life is simple here. Like Forrest Gump- slow, but earnest. (Side note: I auditioned for young Forrest when I was in 3rd grade living in Mississippi.) Anyway this vid will drop Wednesday. It’s slow-paced, long, and everything that isn’t popular in social media right now... and I love it. It might be my favorite thing I’ve made so far. Be very excited. The sun rises on a new day here in the woods. If you don’t know, Sybil and I have been living here for the summer. Alone but not. The trees, deer, antelope, marmots, chipmunks, badgers, and birds have kept us company. They speak if we care to listen. Most of us just stopped listening. Instead our ears are being blasted by a-holes playing bad hip hop with their windows down, trash podcasts, the sounds of car horns and road rage, babies crying because they know it’s significantly healthier to be breast fed but the mother is just too lazy to quick smoking to do it, the guy down the road yelling at his girlfriend because her pies are too moist, your inner thought process questioning how a pie can be “too moist” and then you remember one time you ate a pie that was a little soggy and you think “yeah that’s not great” but also “I think the guy should just be thankful to get ANY pie because he doesn’t even seem like he should HAVE a girlfriend,” and there’s SO MUCH NOISE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE so you move to the woods with your dog and you find peace because big cities are not our natural environment. Found this gem in the middle of nowhere. No Instagram tags. It’s not on Alltrails. Just a hidden gem in the vastness of nature. LIKE YOU! And me! In the sea of people on this planet everyone is a gem. YES EVERYONE. Some are obvious gems. Some are just covered in a little dirt, an obvious metaphor for “taking time to do self care and make yourself shine”. So do the work. Be your best and brightest self. Or don’t. I don’t know what I’m legally allowed to say besides I went to another dimension last last weekend and it started me on a journey of self-discovery that has been both beautiful and frightening. Beautiful in that I don’t know if I’ve ever felt closer to the True me than now. Frightening in that this change means saying goodbye to almost everything I’ve ever known. The universe connected me with this human (and a wonderful man named Pablo who is not pictured) and we have shared something that can’t be fully encapsulated with words. I severed emotional ties with some black holes, realigned my perception, and had some long deep talks with Mother Nature (she needs our help). Huge changes are coming. I’ll keep you posted. Live boldly my friends. I know some people have reached out and I’ve not been responding- I’m still processing and need some me time.

More than a year ago my friend @maddieprahm lost her job and favorite past time when the live music industry was shut down. SO I decided to build her a record player console and @uturnaudio gave her a record player. We laughed. She cried. The full vid will be up on YouTube and Vimeo later today (I’m in the woods, WiFi up here is Forrest Gump- slow, but liveable). New video is going live on my YouTube in ONE MINUTE. It does have a trigger warning because I talk about depression and suicide so be warned. But also, I lean into honesty and vulnerability- two things I want to keep bringing to my life and two things I want to see more of in this world. Well that and more movies with Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. Their on-screen chemistry is that of legends. They go together like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. Jerry the mouse and Tom The Cat. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. Could I think of examples that didn’t include a “Tom”, maybe. Lemme try... old white men and.... Tommy Bahama shirts, nope, couldn’t do it. Apparently it’s TOMday in my brain which sounds like a combination of today and tomorrow and since there is no tomorrow and there is only today and the now, then tomday is a good reminder to not wait until tomorrow or the notorious “someday” to live your life. When I quit making videos I thought I’d take a few months off and regroup. Life had other plans. It’s been FIVE YEARS! The same amount of time Tom Hanks was stuck on that island in Castaway. WILSONNNNNNNN!! Anyway, I’m making vids again. Hopefully it’s like when they brought back Arrested Development and not like when they brought back Full House. Hopefully it’s like when Michael Jordan came out of retirement and returned to basketball and not like when he tried to play baseball. Hopefully time has aged me like a fine wine and not like a glass of milk baking in the summer sun. Either way, I’m putting out videos again. Watch them, don’t watch them... I don’t care. It’s your life. Make your own mistakes.
