CONNER REEVES, who basically taught me how to sing with his album “Earthbound” (I listened to it 5 million times I think! ?), was on tour with Whitney Houston, and wrote and recorded with and for Joss Stone, Tina Turner and many more.
GAVIN HOLLIGAN, who’s not only the musical director of my band The Experimental Kids, but also performed with Stevie Wonder, Floetry, Gloria Gaynor, Duffy amongst others!

On behalf of the UK music community, I’d like to pay tribute to Johnny Pacheco, the Dominican-born Producer, Songwriter, Band Leader [Musical Director], Flautist / Percussionist who brought salsa to the world.
He sadly died Monday, February 15th. He was 85 and had been hospitalized with pneumonia.
He was the Co-founder of Fania Records and the Band leader of the groundbreaking musical force that was Fania All Stars.
My introduction to his music was in listening and attempting to dance to @celiacruz & The Fania All Stars. His production introduced me to some of my favourite percussionists, @robertoroenaoficial Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto and @billycobhamofficial
Our deepest condolences go out to his wife, Maria Elena “Cuqui” Pacheco and his family and friends.
In celebration of his life… Let the dance begin!
