BREAKING: Brian Boles and Charles Collins have been exonerated in New York after 30 years of wrongful conviction. Their convictions rested entirely on their false confessions. No physical evidence ever connected them to the crime. Brian and Charles were both convicted of murdering an elderly man in 1994. Just 17 years old at the time, Brian falsely confessed to the murder after two days of extensive questioning by police who threatened him and lied to him. Today, a Manhattan judge vacated the convictions after DNA testing on fingernail evidence from the victim excluded the men as the source and pointed to another individual as the perpetrator. “We are grateful that the courts have finally acknowledged what Mr. Boles has always maintained—that he was wrongfully convicted. He lost three decades of his life for a crime he had nothing to do with.” —Jane Pucher, a senior staff attorney at IP and attorney for Mr. Boles, along with Senior Paralegal Kanani Schnider and Foderaro Post-conviction Litigation Fellow Shabel Castro. Texas just set an execution date for Robert Roberson, an innocent man. Robert is scheduled to be executed on Oct. 16, 2025, even though new evidence proving his innocence is still under review by the state’s highest court. No court has ever reviewed the overwhelming medical and scientific proof that his daughter’s tragic death was caused by illness, accident, and medical error — none of which was Robert's fault. This would mark the first U.S. execution based on the discredited “shaken baby” theory. Robert's execution was stopped once before — we must do it again. 1. Repost. 2. Sign the petition (link in bio). 3. Tag your friends below. #RobertRoberson #WrongfulConviction #ShakenBabySyndrome

Texas plans to execute Robert Roberson on October 16 — less than two weeks from today — despite growing medical consensus that the “Shaken Baby Syndrome” theory behind his 2003 conviction is flawed. The 58-year-old autistic father has spent 23 years on death row, but experts say evidence indicates his daughter’s death was caused by illness, not abuse. To help the @innocenceproject stop Robert’s execution, call Gov. Abbott at 737-277-6778 or visit saveroberson.org to learn more. And to read or sign a petition seeking to save Robert’s life, head to our link in bio. #robertroberson #texas #shakenbabysyndrome #govabbott #abbott
