Thank you to the 30,000 visitors who joined us for Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2025 — a dynamic convergence of artists, galleries, collectors, curators and cultural leaders from around the world. This year’s edition showcased 500 artists representing 58 countries across 5 continents and welcomed 30 new galleries for the very first time. Together, we reaffirmed the fair’s position as a vital platform for artistic discovery, critical dialogue, meaningful encounters and cross-cultural exchange. With deep sadness, we mourn the passing of Koyo Kouoh, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Zeitz MOCAA (@zeitzmocaa), and the visionary curator appointed to lead the 61st Venice Biennale (@labiennale), making history as the first African woman to hold this role. Koyo shaped the global art landscape with her unwavering commitment to African voices, radical curatorial vision and fearless leadership. Her loss will be deeply felt across the art world, particularly in Cape Town and throughout the Global South. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Koyo’s family, loved ones, the Zeitz MOCAA team, and all those whose lives she touched.
