I’ve realized that the older I get the more I prefer deep one-on-one conversations over social group settings. Recently I was talking to a close friend about levels of success and happiness.

There are always going to be 10 people ahead of you and 10 people behind you. Everyone runs their own race and has their own problems and difficulties in life. I assure you that any celebrity or role model you look up to has just as many concerns and issues as you do. So at the end of the day what really matters is that you are happy and content with yourself, wherever you stand.

No matter how much you achieve there’s always going to be bigger and better goals to accomplish and I think it’s important to know that you’ll always want more, which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s easy to beat yourself up about it if it doesn’t come fast enough or easy enough. And looking back at how far you’ve come can really put your mind at peace. You’ll feel more confident and happy with yourself. And that’s really what matter most. Be patient with yourself, love yourself, and everything will work out, I promise.
