Happy birthday to my littlest love “Ayla Gail Grace Hustler” you are everything we never knew was missing ❤️?

I can’t believe you’re a year old! What a year it has been to spend your first year on earth, the adversity you’ve already overcome, the strength you have shown from such a little being is so incredible. You truly are your mothers daughter & you’re just as beautiful too ?? @rach.hustler

What we’ve accomplished in those years, the sacrifices, the heartbreak, the happiness, the most incredible memories. I love that we make each other better people, I don’t think we ever thought life would be this hectic with 3 kids & the path we’ve taken has had some very rough patches at times. You’re an incredible mother to our beautiful children & how you’ve put up with me this long is something I’d rather not ask you about ?? Thank you for doing this life with me, I can’t wait to see what we can do over the next 10 years, I love you so much @rach.hustler

After an extremely difficult & testing 10-12 months I’m finally Read More

So... I’m obviously very far from where I used to be physically...

This is where I’m currently at (minus the crazy head), after a long hiatus (9-10months) from the gym in 2019 due to all the family health issues @rach.hustler & I went through.

I was just getting back into the gym when Covid struck. Then I was just getting back into the gym again when injury struck ?‍♂️??

I’ve got to laugh or I might cry, in fact I have cried... it’s been tough to readjust but when is life ever easy and perfect? Has 2020 has been the year of “readjustment”?

Having trained and dieted constantly since I was 18 and body building since I was 23 and now having only trained about 3-4months consistently in the past 18 months, I have definitely felt the impact on my mental and emotional health and physically it shows well and truly.

Training has always been my go to de-stress and keep me sane ? so it’s been tough not being physically able to for so long.

I have been unable to train for the last 4 months due to a back injury (Spondylolisthesis L5-S1) so my focus has had to be on a deeper level of self awareness, learning, understanding my limitations and giving myself the time I needed to recover.

I have had many osteopath and physio appointments and rehabilitation has been slow and very painful with trigger ball work, inversion table decompressing, stretching & strengthening with pilates & better postural awareness.

Now knowing what I’m dealing with, having the freedom to finally move pain free, I’m able to implement a proper resistance training structure, my calorie intake has already started to increase and the more I train, the more my appetite will increase over time.

Managing this injury is a daily process I’ve had to learn to deal with, as I move forward in my health journey I’m sure I’ll encounter more “issues” to overcome.

Follow along to see Jared 4.0? Or is it 5.0? ... anyway, just watch me build the healthiest version of myself ??

It’s not easy when you do all the right things, incrementally bringing a better physique each time to stage and not always getting the result that you’d hoped for. But like I always say progression is the key.
It can be hard to take your time to get there. We all know that there are plenty of people that are going about their physique progression the wrong way, taking all the shortcuts and placing their health second in order to win on stage.

It’s been such a pleasure to have worked with and watched this guy grow physically and mentally over the past 3.5 years, riding some awesome highs & pushing through some very tough lows. Always with a solid plan and overall health being the focus, we have slowly but surely built what we envisioned. After stepping onto the @ifbbproleagueoz stage yesterday in Victoria for the first time and taking out all 3 classes in the Classic physique divisions I can’t wait to see what I know we can bring to the national stage this weekend!
Forever grateful to have someone who started as a gym bro, client, and now very close friend - very much like family ?? and be able to watch your success - reaping the rewards of your tireless efforts and consistent hard work. What you achieved is a testament to your work ethic and never taking ANY shortcuts! 5 more days to refine & bring another level ??

We know the overarching principle of resistance training programming, strength gain & muscle growth should be progressive overload.
Currently I’m back to basics in my own programming & loving the strength gains I’ve made.
But I gotta say nothing beats double scooping my favorite pump formula & doing super sets with drop set to failure, walking out of the gym feeling like I’m going to pop??? What type of training do you love?! Everyone’s got their own preference???
