It’s time for our 6th annual FOSTER CARE CHRISTMAS FUNDRAISER!! ???????????????????????????????????????????????? Each year, since 2019- you all have helped me bring Christmas to children experiencing foster care. This year, we’re expanding who we serve!!!! We are not only bringing Christmas to 100 children experiencing foster care but also 20 children and mothers in a domestic violence shelter. Those numbers are so daunting every single year but I have such a sense of peace that we ???????????? do this. I’ve seen y’all do it before & it’s humbling to be a vessel for such a large labor of love on your behalves. I finalized my license to foster & adopt within my county in 2018 as a 23 year old, single woman. I became mom to an 11 week old baby January of 2019, and he’s been my world ever since. That baby is now 6 years old & is the light of not only my life- but his brothers and sisters as well. Christmas to a child experiencing foster care is the ONE time of year where they get to ask for something that’s theirs. When they receive the gifts they wrote down on their wishlist they are being reminded that they are heard and that they are valued. I have attached an Amazon registry with the requests from *some* of the children on it in my story & my Venmo for the remaining items that I will need to purchase like- A multitude of varying Nike shoes, over 100 clothing items which I’ll shop for at target, (LOTS OF) gift cards (absolutely understandable that big kids want to pick their own gifts) but also for grocery gift cards (a big ask this year), wrapping paper galore, you name it! Please, please share this post, help me spread this message far & wide with your friends, followers, co-workers, family… I have $20,000 to raise via the registry & Venmo combined to make Christmas happen for 120 children, women and families.
