“All of the world’s in my heart” My Persian Princess ???? At age 3 … she already knew. An old soul indeed. What a profound question… maybe one we all need to ask ourselves? “Is all of the world in your heart?” #alloftheworld #persianprincess #iranian #australian #scottish #persian

There isn’t just one way of doing something. Please stop assuming that people with disability CAN’T Instead… be excited by the opportunity to learn how we do things differently. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised… #motherhood #disabilityawareness

I did it! I crossed the finish line of the London Marathon! It wasn’t the time I wanted, but, it was still a PB! So I am very happy and proud. I crossed with a time of 3 hours 55 minutes. We underestimated the heat out there yesterday, it took its toll. And my period decided to visit just as I crossed the finish line.. #femaleathleteproblems (explains the cramping) It was an incredible experience. The crowds were like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. People screaming and cheering the ENTIRE course. They were the ones that got me over the line… the strangers cheering my name, the young kids handing me oranges to suck on, the lady who gave me an electrolyte while I stopped to stretch my quads that kept having spasms. It was also you guys back home on the messages, your words of support continually circled my mind while I was running. Thank you everyone! Special mention to my coach @tala.elajou and my training buddies @drtamzyg and @alliemmclaughlin and everyone in the @trax_dxb team back home in Dubai. And of course my family… my husband @hamidsalamati who has supported this journey, the long runs and hours away training, and my beautiful kids who always cheer me on. I hope I’ve made you all proud. The legs are sore today, but overall feeling great. And that’s the reason I run… because I can, because it’s a privilege, because so many others cannot - I run for them. To everyone who donated.. thank you, we raised over 11,000 AED for @lordstaverners - this will fund sporting programs for children living with disability. THANK YOU! Time to celebrate and head home #londonmarathon #marathon #running #medalmonday #marathonfinisher

DOHA - a fantastic weekend of fun racing! I set out to hold 4.50 pace and I did exactly that, coming in with a new PB. Not bad for 41 year old mum of 3 ???? Thank you to the wonderful team at @newbalance and to the organisers @ooredoomarathon - Jake and I had SO MUCH FUN. So well organised and hosted by a beautiful city. See you next year! #dohamarathon #newbalance #runyourway #ᴘʜᴏᴛᴏᴅᴜᴍᴘ

Born without part of her left arm, the former Paralympian Jessica Smith said sport was the first space where she began to challenge expectations and take ownership of her own story. She described discovering sport as a way to push back against assumptions about what she could or could not achieve because of her disability. ‘I discovered a love for sport after being born missing my left arm and wanting an opportunity to prove the rest of the world wrong,’ Smith told The National. ‘I felt limited by the social narrative around what people thought I could and couldn’t do, and sport gave me a way to change that.’ Swimming became the channel for that determination, offering structure, competition and a sense of recognition she had not experienced before. She recalled a pivotal moment at the age of 10, when she won her first school swimming race and realised perceptions were beginning to shift. Today, the Australian works as a speaker and advocate for accessibility and inclusion, with a focus on autonomy and choice. She stressed that people with disabilities should not feel compelled to speak for everyone.
