Obituary link in bio. ———————————— Dan Diaz, 76, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Hayward, California, following a courageous 34-year battle with cancer. Surrounded by his children and grandchildren in his final moments, Dan’s departure was marked by the same love that defined his life. Born on November 4, 1948, in San Francisco, California, Dan graduated from Balboa High School in 1966. He went on to serve proudly in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam War veteran. His devotion to country reflected a deep-rooted sense of duty and patriotism that he carried throughout his life. For nearly half a century, Dan shared a devoted marriage with Diane Soravilla until her passing in 2019. Their union was built on enduring love and unwavering partnership; a tradition they would go on to instill in their children and grandchildren. Dan is lovingly remembered by his sons Daniel and Dustin and their wives Erika and April. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Danial III, Chelsea, Kaiden, Kathleen (Dean), Dustin, Kailani, and Andrew-and great-grandchildren Kai, Keelie, Abi, Jack, and Mason. Dan found joy in many passions. A loyal fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers, he lived for the thrill of the game. As a skilled craftsman, he brought ideas to life with dedication and care. But perhaps nothing brought him more peace than casting a line from his boat alongside friends and family-moments of serenity shared under smoky skies. Known for his vibrant spirit and infectious laughter, Dan had a way of lighting up every room he entered. His presence remains etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be missed dearly by many. Services to be announced at a later date. Yay-Yayeee!
