Thanks to @ergotopia.de who provided me with one of their amazing adjustable desks, the Desktopia Pro✨ I‘ve been using this desk for the past few weeks now and it completely changed my work experience. I’m more active, concentrated and most important feel healthier than before where I sat the whole day. I mostly stand while working now, but you can adjust the height according to your needs thanks to the quiet engines in each leg. You can change it manually or preset 4 different heights. The quality of each component is great and the assembly time was just about 20 minutes to set everything up. Earth Day 2021???? @adobe_de challenged me to create an artwork for this years #EarthDay campaign! The theme of Earth Day 2021 is #RestoreOurEarth and deals with natural processes, new green technologies and innovative thinking that can restore the world's ecosystems. They wanted to know what a restoration of the earth can look like for me. For me one of the most important topics to restore our earth is reforestation???? With the help of Photoshop I've created a scenario how this could look like in the near future where we would send out drones to replant whole areas of forests to secure and build new ecosystems with the help of technology. For this year's #AdobeMAX I'm working with @adobe as an official Adobe Insider. They challenged me to recreate one of my older works and "Space Carousel" from 2018 immediately came to my mind for this as it's one of my favorite most fun concepts I've done so far and I've already wanted to make a new version of it sometime. This time I chose to show the carousel shortly after the takeoff rather than having it surrounded by space like in the original image. The original image was made only using Photoshop, here I did some quick 3D modelling and optimisation, then used Adobe Substance Painter, Illustrator and Photoshop to texture every part of the image individually. After that I did some post processing using After Effects and Photoshop at the very end again for some slight effects + color correction and contrast adjustments. I had a lot of fun creating this together with #Adobe, it gave me some nostalgia but also showed me what progress I've made and how much my workflow has changed in just the last few years. Escape into the surreal✨ What do you do to stay inspired? For me staying inspired is very important because it's always associated with getting rid of stress from everyday life. Rather it's by listening to my favorite music or going outside, there are so many things you could gain inspiration from. What I love to do is to take a walk through my hometown or forest by night. When light, noise and all the other distracting things from the day disappear is where I can really clear my mind and get new ideas - escaping the reality to enter the surreal. That's why I've decided to choose the original image of a street by night for this artwork that I've created in collaboration with @adobe_de for their #Ps_YourWorldYourCanvas campaign. The goal was to use something from my everyday life and turn it into something surreal with the help of @photoshop and it's powerful tools.
