i've been detoxing from fast fashion for soo long now... not gonna lie, pandemic was truly the time when a true, i guess final phase of detox occured. i still browse shops with new clothes for outfit inspiration and hey, the temptation is still there but when i get there, i find myself so uninterested and uninspired. 99% of time i just leave thinking - i can find that second hand or just remake something. and that's true, especially in the era of aesthetics, y2k, cottagecore, art hoes and dark academia. once you hit 30, you realise it's all been there before, just the styling changes and shapes get slightly updated. spend that money on a tailor, if you can't alter yourself, at least the money you'll be spending will go to the pocket of the people who did the actual work. since no one here is reinventing the wheel and we're just wearing old styles in the new way, may the 20s be a decade of tailoring instead of fast fashion.

Do you ever dream of places from your childhood or your past?

Vivid lights, bight mornings, fresh green colour of the leaves, first walk through a forest on a summer day.

The loveliest feeling is when your recent memories turn into dreams.

That's why I like analog photography.

Long long time ago, in January 2020, when the world was still healthy, brave and unafraid, I did a trip to California. I shot 12 rolls of Kodak Gold that took me months to process and scan. I am still working on some of them. Reliving those memories again.

That's why I like analog photography.

It gives memories that dreamlike quality without going to sleep and waiting for a lucky dream that happens to visit this one particular part of your mind.

This month I've been a bunch of times to the forest, techno rave in an old factory, a psychedelic midnight mass, once again I've immersed myself in the universe of Dune and world of Wes Anderson, dived into Alice in Wonderland, the freak show and studied modernism. I started designing my own outfits, sewn, embroidered, painted, wrote poems, scanned and processed photos, filmed scenes, edited videos and coded.

I've been hanging out with a witches rockstars, painters and fashion designers. Aka - my friends.

And the truth is, no matter how much I can be denying this to myself and try to say that you know, I live this average life, where I have my day job as a programmer and like to do fun creative stuff after work... The truth is I actually can't stand living in the reality. I keep drawn over and over and over again to notice, pay attention and experience different universes that live inside of my imagination.

So maybe... I'm just being too harsh on myself by calling myself out on hypocrisy of unconsciously presenting an unrealistic image of myself on social media...

... because in fact
all this is more real to me in my head than the boring real world we all live in every day. And if I can convince you to look at your own world in the same imaginary way as I do, I would feel like I've made an impact.
