Over the years I've learnt the hard way that dunking a lace front in a pot of dye also dyes the lace and it doesn't look natural anymore! After a lot of researching i finally found a combination of methods that worked for me to dye synthetic lace front wigs using dye for the wig itself and alcohol markers to fill in the roots ? Did you know you can make belts from Eva foam? ? This is my favourite method now to make all my belts and straps! And you can make them in any thickness! So if you need super chunky belts now you don't need to use real leather and you don't have to paint foam and worry about it chipping off either. Just cover the Eva foam in any fabric you want using spray adhesive. Glue down the edges with contact cement and then as an extra detail you can even sew around the edges! ? We have even done this with 5mm Eva foam for really thick belts! It looks amazing, it's still flexible and functional and you can use any kind of fabric, texture or colour you want ? #cosplaytutorial #cosplaytipsandtricks #evafoam #cosplay #foam #crafting #tutorial #evafoamcosplay

The Alexstrasza armor so far! The whole thing is starting to come together and take shape ? I'm really happy with how it looks so far ? it's been refreshing to do this style of armor again! Everything on this costume is made of Eva foam! The only thing that isn't foam are the little googly eyes for details and the plastic egg for the gem! The breastplate and neckpiece were made using 5mm dragon scale foam from cosplay fabrics. For the shoulders I used a 5mm foam for the base and 2mm foam for details! The hip pieces were 2 1cm foam pieces glued together and sanded down! Even the panties will be foam made from 2mm as the base ? everything was detailed withe round and triangular strips from cosplay fabrics as well! And then I added a whole lot more texture and battle damage with a soldering iron!
