My last belly rubs with Jojo and Pearly Girly before they go to their new home at @centraltexaspigrescue. I can’t believe it! I will miss them so much! ?♥️

Jojo is such a firecracker…like a big happy puppy, but so much smarter! Her enthusiasm for life is infectious & it’s been such a joy to watch her soak in new experiences since being rescued from the laboratory. Pearly Girly is such a calm, loving pig who seems so genuinely grateful to be seen and cared for. She was once the “bottom pig” at a giant hoarding case, but now she knows what it feels like to be pampered and adored. Best of all, they each know what it is to have a best friend, and they’ll get to stay that way forever. It has been such a gift to watch them each blossom and thrive.

It’s bittersweet to share these last moments with them, but I’m so grateful they have a safe and incredible place to go at @centraltexaspigrescue. Thank you, friends, for creating such an incredible place for pigs like them. Thank you @mattlieurance for braving the 20+ hour drive to get them there safely. Thank you @farmanimalrefuge and @orphankittenclub for making their rescue possible.

A lot of people don’t understand why we foster pigs. People scroll past, or say nasty things, or question why we open our home to them. But if you were here with them, your heart would immediately know why. You would fall in love. They are so social, intelligent, affectionate, and deeply deserving of care and advocacy. I wish I could personally invite each and every one of you to spend a day with them, because I think they would completely transform your understanding of and appreciation for pigs. They are truly some of the most special animals on earth—worthy of all good things. ♥️
