Maya Josephine Knell ???? Born May 1, 2025 at 8lbs 2oz Two hours after she was born, MJ’s lungs failed and she had to be resuscitated. She was admitted to the NICU and after 9 days she was able to come home with us. We are so thankful for this gift, we are thankful she is safe and healthy, and are honored to start this journey as a family of four!! Thank you for your prayers and love towards our girl ???? we can’t wait to share more! p.s. I left the BEST PHOTO EVER at the end ????????

this is not a pregnancy announcement. but this is one of the most vulnerable things I’ve ever shared on this platform. almost 5 months ago Andrew and I were told we can’t have children. For right now, I will be keeping the details of our situation private. Posting this makes me uncomfortable while we’re in the middle of it. Often times we only want to post the happy ending of our situations, not the in between. I wonder if we are scared to share because we are afraid of what the ending may actually be? I am. I had only planned to share our struggles with getting pregnant after I received a positive test. But my positive test never came. So here we are in the in between. —————— I’ve been thinking of the Israelites in the desert. 40 years they wandered. 40 years they waited. 40 years they wondered if they would ever see the promises of God. As Andrew and I are lost in the wilderness of infertility.. we aren’t wandering and wondering if we will see God’s promise. We received His promise in Christ. & that is our comfort. So while we mourn, we mourn with hope in Christ. While we process, we process with belief that God is good no matter what our circumstance looks like. And while we wait, we wait patiently and joyfully with the understanding that all of this is working together for our good and the glory of God. Whether we have 10 children or whether we have none… we rest in Him. Lastly, while I know there are many opinions on these situations.. our perspective is this : God is able to heal us. He still performs miracles, and we are crying out for one. We also recognize the reality of our doctor’s report. Nonetheless, if we never see a miracle or we live to see 100, we will trust the Lord. We will walk by faith with what is given to us, and try to reflect the heart posture of Christ as He willingly gave up His life, crying out, “Thy will be done.” We will share more in time. For now, we would appreciate your prayers. ???? (mark 9:23-24, Luke 22:42, rom. 8:28)

SURPRISE ???? a few months ago, our adoption agency reached out and told us that Elliott had a biological sibling being born in May and they asked if we would be open to adopting again. truthfully, this was so much sooner than we anticipated (if you’re keeping track that will be TWO babies under 1 ????????) but the Lord has been SO faithful and we knew we couldn’t pass up the opportunity for him to grow up with his sibling. we are in the final days of being a family of 3 and we are soaking it all in, but we are SO excited. please be praying with us as we prepare for this big change!! p.s. we have posted the gender ☺️

Introducing our son… Elliott Gabriel Knell ???? On May 21st Elliott was born and on May 23rd we were entrusted by his birth mother to adopt and raise this precious life. We are humbled and overwhelmed at this gift. We had the honor of choosing of his name with his birth mother. ???? It brings us so much joy knowing that she will always be honored, and that his name is marked by both sets of his parents. Elliott : “The Lord is my God” Gabriel : “The Lord is my strength” Our prayer is that Elliott’s life would reflect these truths to everyone around him. That the Lord would be who he leans on, trusts in, and follows. God has gotten Andrew and I through these last 3 years, and He has been our strength on the path to parenthood. It’s only fitting that baby boy’s name would also be a reminder of the God we serve. There will be many things in life that we will never understand and will be left asking ‘why’. Over the last few weeks, we have gotten a small glimpse into a ‘why’ of our infertility. We would not have Elliott in our arms apart from the heartache of the last 3 years. God uses ALL things for His glory. Even if our eyes cannot see what He is doing, He is doing something. We would appreciate prayers in the days to come as we navigate this new season. For this album we did several writing nights with our friends @writesnbitessongs! Songwriters split into groups of three over 3 nights and wrote for the “Higher Name” Album. We ended up cutting 6 songs from these sessions. @kolbykoloff @shellyeve & @coletague came up with this fun melody and lyric about rising up because of the hope we have in Jesus! They were kind enough to let @officialtoddsmith come in later and help them finish the song. It’s up for Inspirational Song of the Year for the @gmadoveawards! It’s the first nomination for Kolby, Shelly, and Cole and @writesnbitessongs so it makes it extra special! Thank you guys for writing such an amazing song!
