Seems like a good a time as any to reintroduce myself. ???? Hey, I’m Lauren (or Lo) — I chase offbeat adventures around the world and love showing you things you didn’t know you wanted on your bucket list in your own backyard and across the globe. ???? From staying at the world’s first underwater hotel on the Great Barrier Reef to horse surfing in Florida (yes, that’s a thing), I’ve gotten to do some wildly epic stuff (sorry mom). ???? I’m one of the OG travel creators who’s lived through every era of social media — from hiking in dresses and overly curated IG feeds to today’s short-form, goldfish-attention-span internet. I’m also a travel writer with 500+ bylines across the web (yes, I’ve been doing this awhile) and my own blog. Destination development is my love language. I help cities tell their stories, and uncover what actually separates every foodie, outdoorsy place with “small-town charm” from the next. I also work in government communications, and run a completely unrelated side hustle making advent calendars at @anythingadventcalendar because the world needs more whimsy. Eldest daughter, geriatric millennial, and puns are my whole personality. I knew my husband was the one after a full conversation about cheese. It was un-brie-lievable. Other things I stan: fooooood, the CU Buffs, being the cool aunt, and pretending I’m outdoorsy despite being a world-class klutz. We also road trip a lot more now that we have fur babies (more places need to be pro doggo). ???? Thanks for being here. AMA. Or reach out if any of that resonates. ✈️ #travelblogger #glt #travel #travelgram #travellovers

You might think I’m racing through my bucket list working on 50 countries and 50 states before 50 (almost there) but there are plenty of places I’m still manifesting. From chasing the northern lights and Petra deserts to slow mornings in the Swiss Alps, reef dives in the Galápagos, street food across Southeast Asia, penguins in Antarctica, and casually waiting for space to be less than a million dollars. No big deal. ???? Every time I check one thing off, five more magically get added to the list. Really, the goal was never to finish — it’s to stay curious, slightly delusional, and permanently planning the next escape. ???? Where should we go next? #traveling #travelblogger #glt #bucketlist #travelgram

Stepped into the woods and straight into a fever dream ✨???? @astraluminaexperience isn’t just a light show — it’s a walk through a cosmic fairytale. One minute you’re following glowing stars through the trees, the next you’re in a clearing that feels like another planet. A little woo woo? Sure but 10/10 for a unique date night, girls’ night, or anyone who still believes in a little magic after dark. Would you stay at the most haunted hotel in America? ???????? The @crescent1886 in Eureka Springs was formerly a girl’s college and a hospital run by a man with no medical license, who marketed the property a miracle cure center. No real treatments were ever administered before he was arrested and unfortunately, a number of the patients died. ???????? You can tour the hotel including the basement morgue where the specimen bottles and bodies were buried (dark, I know). They have a number of known ghosts who regularly appear in specific areas, including a cat, and the wait list for certain rooms can be years long (especially on Halloween). ???? There are paranormal investigations and midnight haunts… so pick your poison for how to explore. Or, just appreciate the grand Victorian architecture and seasonal decor. ????????I loved the tour but I’m not so sure about staying overnight…. Tell me what you think in the comments. #travelblogger #gltlove #haunted #hauntedhotel #hauntedplaces

My favorite countries (and I’ve seen a lot!). ❤️ You know what they say, if you want to see how awful the world is, go online. If you want to see how amazing it is, go outside (or book a flight) ????✈️ #travelblogger #travelbloggers #glt #travelbucketlist #travelphotography

Red Phone Booth: a 1920s speakeasy with locations nationwide ????☎️ If you’re looking for a unique night out, @rpbgrandscape is a vibe. A Prohibition-style cocktail + cigar bar, you literally step through a vintage red phone booth and into another era. It’s mostly a membership club: think liquor lockers, a tobacco concierge + humidor (with house cigars), and a “mafia room” that’s basically a glorified man cave with a pool table + TVs, but anyone can go as long as you know the code. A few notes: ???? They’re strict about the dress code (it enhances the vibe) ???? Smoking is allowed everywhere, which normally would bother me, but they have a custom hospital-level ventilation system that kept the air circulating surprisingly well ???? They’re known for their smoked old fashioned which has garnered national press ???? The meatballs are a MUST (random, I know, but trust) ???? Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Nashville + more coming soon ???? Rumor has it the entry code comes from signing up for their email list. It did take me a minute to remember how to use a rotary phone. ???? #speakeasy #redphonebooth #travelblogger #gltlove #thingstodoindallas

You had me at all day themed brunch ????????. @brunchtimetx is adorably decked out like Alice in Wonderland from the wall of clocks to tea cups, and I’ll happily fall down the rabbit hole for s’mores pancakes. Say less. #thingstodoindallas #dallasfoodblogger #dallaslovelist #brunch #brunch????

You often hear about major US travel destinations like LA, New York, Vegas, and Chicago. ✈️ But not every place worth visiting dominates headlines. We’re talking about cities that quietly blend charm, culture, and character — without the crowds, cost, or clichés. For me that’s: ✔️Boise ✔️ Kansas City ✔️ Milwaukee ✔️ Cleveland Curious why? ???? My first for @businessinsider, read the full article here >> https://www.businessinsider.com/surprising-best-cities-to-visit-traveler-visited-50-states-2025-12 #travel #travelwriter #glt #americathebeautiful #travelusa
