‘A cash register from 1900-1920. It’s so hot.’

And that’s the kind of thing you get emailed when you work in museums.

Anyway, we’ve had a gorgeous day taking photos - and taking photos of taking photos - of objects heading for our Money Talks exhibition @LeedsCityMuseum this February ???? 

Also pictured is a Chinese sword charm from 1880-1910, used to deter evil influences, and an English tally stick from 1706. Transactions were recorded as notches, and they were used up until the early 1800s.
