I’m definitely a photo-first kind of person. If I only get one shot to capture a moment, you’ll find me reaching for my camera to take a photo. But let’s be real, some scenes and memories deserve to be captured in motion too, like this mesmerizing experience with jellyfish in Misool, Raja Ampat. Video editing has always been so overwhelming for me though. I’d shoot clips with good intentions but never touch Premiere Pro, it’s like my brain would shut down just thinking about it. Instead, I’d rely on a couple of apps filters I love, share snippets on stories and leave it at that since I couldn’t fully control the edit. Today I tried something new though ! After chatting with a videographer I recently met on a trip I decided to give DaVinci a try based on her advice. And I have to say that it’s quite a game changer. It’s definitely not as overwhelming as Premiere, and I’m pretty happy with how that first video turned out in terms of colorgrading ????!
