Happy Monday! I thought I would take a minute to introduce myself to those of you that are new, and remind those of you who have stuck with me for, well, forever! I'm Lisa. An artist by birth. A goldsmith and now painter by trade! I have been creating handcrafted jewelry for almost 21 years. Yikes! Through those years I have evolved and changed and grown so much. Through practice and training my skill set has only gotten better. But also, through these many years, I have learned so much about myself. What I like to create. What is really my sweet spot. Most importantly I have discovered my WHY. I love creating, because I just really love people. I have seen how my art connects people together. Whether they are gifting it to a loved one, or to themself. THIS brings me great joy! In the last few years I finally took my drawing and painting skills into my shop. Painting is such a fantastic way to capture how I see things. To play with color. To express myself in a completely different way that is not so hard on my hands lol. Metalsmithing is tough on the body! ???? As we enter a new season I hope to be more present here, not just to sell to you, but to encourage you and remind you of the beauty in each day. There is so much to be thankful for, even when life doesn't feel so "dreamy". I want to remind you that YOU are a beautiful unique creation and I am so grateful you are here. Thank you. When I posted this silly video a few weeks ago little did I know how much I would give to be able to be in ANY of these positions lol! How much I would crave being back at the bench. Shoot, how much I wish I could even put my own socks on!! ???? But, if I’ve learned anything in the last five years, it is resilience. Gratefulness. Patience. Things I know. ✅ I WILL be back. ✅ I am so incredibly thankful this happened while surrounded by the best people in my life. ❤️ ✅ I am grateful for an amazing surgeon and the progress I’m making! ✅ i have learned that often the best life lessons happen when I’m forced to “be still” So although I have had days this week of anger and sadness and many tears…those moments are fleeting when I am reminded of all of the above! Life is short. Things happen. Cherish your people. Choose grace and love…always! And make sure you have a grabber tool handy! You just never know!! ???? Thanks for being patient with ME! A bit of a personal update. We planned a vacation with my girls and their significant others for this week! So much fun right? I have been over the top excited for this trip. A chance for us to all be together! We arrived Saturday at our Vrbo and after about two hours l decided to go into the house and order pizza. Wellllllll…. I took one step and slipped…hands full so i didn’t have a chance to break my fall. I landed on my hip in just the RIGHT spot. I’m a perfectionist like that! Needless to say…trip to the ER, then a fun ambulance ride to another hospital…then the wait for surgery. I broke my hip!! Truly a grandma now! ???????? I found out heading into surgery that i was getting a full hip replacement! I was SHOCKED! Surgery went well. The medical team was incredible! I am still on vacation…determined to have some enjoyment with my family. But THIS is going to be quite the journey of recovery. Walkers, PT, OT and thank goodness for pain meds! I say all this because it will be some time before i can climb the stairs to my studio. I’m so sorry if you wanted to schedule a permanent jewelry appointment or a bespoke piece or are waiting on something. I am fierce and determined so i will do everything to get back on track! I mean this isn’t my first rodeo lol. Four surgeries in 5 years, I’m basically a pro! Getting old is ROUGH! Thank you for being patient and the best people out there! I’ll be back. And now I’m basically bionic ???? Love you to the moon and back! xoxo, lisa

Another throw back post! This beauty was a custom order for a special friend. I love how it truly showcases the watermelon tourmaline with this open setting in 14 karat gold! She is swoon-worthy for sure! I definitely think i need to do more of this style settings. What do you think? I won’t be in the studio for awhile…i had a bit of an “accident” more later on that! I haven’t done a Permanent Jewelry post in awhile! And since i have an event today, i thought the time is now! Permanent jewelry is fun AND whimsical! But what is it EXACTLY? I’m so glad you asked! It is a a bracelet, or anklet—that doesn’t have a traditional clasp and is instead welded or “zapped” together directly on your body. Which also means it’s so easy to wear! I’ve had three of them on for almost three years!! It’s meant to be worn continuously as a symbol of permanence, often for sentimental or commemorative reasons, like friendship, love, or milestones. I’ve done them for lots of couples, sisters, best friends, moms and daughters! You get the idea! You get choose a chain…I have MANY! And there is even the option of charms! It’s called “permanent,” but it can be removed with scissors or wire cutters if needed. So no panicking necessary! It’s not a tattoo lol! But i kind of like those too ????
