Everytime I go to the gym when I don't feel like it.. Something magical happens.. . I noticed that I will have the best workout of the week.. and I can feel a change in my mindset while doing the workout . It's almost like unlocking new levels of mental strength in real time.. . Then afterwards i get a rush of inspiration and motivation to continue to do what I know i should do.. . I see how must thing of it backwards.. whats your motivation to go to the gym... Naw... . You get your motivation and energy AFTER the gym.. "I did it" . Dont take my word for it. Try it out.. next time you dead tired.. after work.. kids wear you out.. hit the gym anyway. . Never do leg extensions again.. . This is what the doctor told me after ACL surgery.. And I listened for a while.. . But then realized the doc was flat out wrong.. . I see why he said it. Because that pressure this exercise places on the knee is directly on the incision site and is the weak point of the knee after surgery.. and beyond . But wouldnt you want to strengthen that.. instead of ignoring it.. ???? . Now I never load up the leg extension for this reason. I turned it into a drop set after squats.. and feel the burn while not putting too much pressure on my acl . Works for me . Try leg extension dropset after squats - LMK if you like it
