I honestly can’t believe it’s been that long since I posted. I’ve wanted to so many times, but as more and more time went on - the harder it was. How do I even explain what’s happened? In 2021 my pain was increasing at a rapid pace. I couldn’t sit in a chair because the tailbone pain was so intense. Even though I’d been diagnosed with tethered cord by my previous neurosurgeon, he had retired and it didn’t show up on the 2021 MRI they ran. Tethered cord doesn’t always show up on an MRI. And it doesn’t go away. Because I had it show on a previous MRI was really all that mattered. In 2015 we decided to wait on surgery because the risks outweighed the benefits since I wasn’t suffering that many symptoms. By the time my symptoms increased, he had retired, and we had no TC neurosurgeons in Texas. In 2022 I almost missed my oldest son’s college graduation because it was 3 hours away and we didn’t think I could make the drive. Just going to physical therapy 10 minutes away was excruciating. Todays travel photo is of the Old State House in Boston, the site of the Boston Massacre in 1770. I loved the golden eagle above the door! The building is one of the oldest buildings in the United States, built in 1713. I'm sure it's seen a lot in it's day. The other side of the building features the British lion and unicorn, since when it was established, we were under their rule. There is a museum located inside, and it is a site on the Freedom trail with other nearby spots worth seeing.
