Very blessed to be out on the boat fishing again. I have been trying to stay safe and enjoy from the captains chair but hand lining tunas is too tempting! Lucky to have such solid partners to fish with! Thank you everyone who has continued to send me healing vibes and prayers, feel like I’m very close to being 100% and surfing in the near future????????❤️

This is the crew who saved my life. I would not be alive here today without the fast reaction and knowledge from these guys right here. Every single one of them played a part and it truly was a team effort. Pipe is the most deadliest wave in the world, but at the same time it is the most watched over surf spot in the world. All the surfers are watching out for each other unlike anywhere else, and the lifeguards are ready to take action in an instant. After watching small parts of my rescue, I’m in awe of how many of you guys (surfers and lifeguards) were there for me so that I could still be here on this earth. Thank you to the mayor for honoring them all. I hope they can get funding for some more towers, hazard pay at least on all the “high surf days”, more jet skis in the water, funding for the next generation of jr lifeguards, more pay etc. etc. It really is needed and these lifeguards deserve it. I have hope that lots of positives will continue to come from this situation for the betterment of the lifeguards and all beach goers. I love all of you guys!

2 weeks out of the hospital update! I have been feeling better everyday. So thankful for the continuous support from my family, friends and every single one of you that have had me in your thoughts and prayers. I am amazed at what our bodies can go through. We as humans are so fragile, yet so strong. I’ve really never had this feeling of gratitude until now, it really is unexplainable. I have been driving again, walking/jogging, biking, cooking etc. getting back to doing normal everyday things and it feels great. Got to celebrate my 30th birthday/still alive day! Next will be getting on my boat and going fishing I hope ???????? I am used to taking months off of surfing at a time so that’s not really bothering me! Haha Love you all and thank you all. I have honestly never been happier. ❤️

First off, I am alive, I am healthy, I am so grateful that this life changing experience has happened to me, I honestly think it was needed for a positive change in mine and others lives. I have never felt so loved, I have never felt the power of god and prayer so much, I truly believe that everyone’s love and prayers played such a huge part in my healing this week. It makes me feel good to know that if that was my last day on earth, I would have left a positive impact on peoples lives. I want to thank every single one of you that had me in your thoughts and prayers. From the time the incident happened, to now, everything has been divine orchestration. I could make this post go on and on but I want to first thank @rainbr0 @m_pang for being my first angels in the water. @eli_olson @landon_mcnamara @kylefoyle @ianbachmann @luke.kurtz_ @hi_lif @keegan_hd @davewassel @_kainoa_ and everyone else that was apart of the rescue. The EMTs that got me there safely to Queens, the angels of nurses in the ICU that took care of me everyday. My family, my best friends that stood outside and inside at all times until I woke up. And to my rock @maliamurphey for being with me 24/7 until we walked out of the hospital. A true team effort that so many people played apart in. I love you all. True real life angels. I still have a bit of a road to recovery but all things considering I feel amazing, and so grateful for life. I still have work to do on this earth. If you know me and how I surf out at pipe, I went against everything I practice and preach out there, and it turned out to almost be a fatal accident for me.
