Quick reminder to all the parents with toddlers out there to continue to take the time to pour into your marriage! With two toddlers and one on the way, time is a limited commodity nowadays lol. What helps us is scheduling all of our date nights for the upcoming quarter in advance. This gives us scheduled check ins, time to lean on community for baby sitters, and limiting the amount of time that goes by without us getting a break. Every season won’t be this crazy (at least that’s what people tell me so I’m holding onto it lol) but it’s still our job to be good stewards. Be creative if you have to, be intentional, and make ways to water what you want to grow ????

In just a few weeks, my baby boy won’t be the only baby anymore! The level of guilt that comes with welcoming a new baby is so heavy! I literally burst into tears when I think about it. I’ve tried to have conversations with him about it and read books about being a big brother…but how much does he really understand (at only 18 months)? How is he going to feel when a new baby comes home? Will he feel neglected/ pushed away because my attention is split and no longer just on him? Will it affect our bond? Don’t even get me started on the thought of leaving to go to the hospital to have baby. I’ve never ever spent a night away from him???????? I know that eventually, I will love watching them grow up together (being so close in age). But for now, pray for us as we adjust???? This change is hard, but it’s the best change ever!- Given to us by God! I am truly living out answered prayers and super grateful for that!
