✨ Listen closely… ✨ You can start again. Yes, really. Not “maybe someday,” not “if everything falls into place.” Now. You’re not too late. You’re not too lost. You didn’t ruin it all. You just … learned some things the hard way. And that’s okay. Because now? You’re wiser. You know more. You don’t have to get it perfect this time. You just have to begin. Take a breath. Take one step. And remember—every new start is proof of your courage. ???? You can start again. #selflovejourney❤️ #selflovequotes #newbeginnings #youcanstartagain #selfcompassionpractice #personalgrowth

We speak every single day — in meetings, pitching ideas, even chatting over coffee — but the moment it becomes “public speaking,” we panic. ???? I recently had the opportunity to share parts of my ✨Speak with Impact✨ Public Speaking Program with the @thelaunchpad.group amazing members, founders and entrepreneurs. Even as founders and entrepreneurs, we need to effectively communicate every day, and many are afraid of doing so! That sudden fear of blanking out. Worrying people will judge every word. And sometimes, just one bad experience is enough to make you hold back for years. But here’s what I wish more people knew: ???? Confidence isn’t a gift or a natural talent — it’s the result of practice and competence. You build it. With preparation, with practice, with clarity. Because the truth is, your presence speaks before your mouth does. Your body, your energy, the way you stand or make eye contact — it all communicates something. So why not make it intentional? People won’t remember everything you say. They’ll remember how you made them feel. And nothing makes people feel more connected than a real, relatable story. So if you’ve been overthinking public speaking, maybe the question isn’t “how do I sound smart?” It’s: “what’s the one thing I want them to walk away with?” Start there. And speak from there. ???? Ready to up your speaking skills? Let’s connect! ✨ Send me a DM to get your speaking journey started!

I unintentionally ran a half-marathon ???? — and yes, I am celebrating this win. ✌????✨ Because how often do we forget to celebrate ourselves? Let me tell you what happened: After dropping Ollie off at school in the morning, I planned out a long run from City Hall to Marine Terrace along East Coast — a solid 13km. I had visualised the whole route of it, part by part, and was all set. But as the run unfolded, it became something I hadn’t planned for. (And my sunburn proves it ????) [✨ Head to my blog (link in bio) for the full story ✨] ???? What got me through was my mindset and some quotes and reflections I carried with me along the way: ????“Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” This one echoed in my head every time self-doubt crept in. Your thoughts are powerful ???? “All it takes to start is the first step.” When 21km feels impossible, you don’t look at the whole distance, you look at the next step, the next turn. Breaking it down kept me moving forward. ???? “Growth lives beyond the comfort zone.” It would’ve been easy to stop at 10km or 15km. But pushing into that uncomfortable space was where resilience showed up and where I discovered what I was capable of if I can push my mind to it In the end, I ran the half marathon distance. No fanfare, no crowd, no applause. just me, deeply grateful and amazed at what we can achieve when we push through. Growth mindset isn’t something you’re born with. It can be learned, but it has to be cultivated. It’s in the daily practice of shifting your thoughts, challenging your doubts, and choosing to keep going. Change your thoughts, and you really can change your life. ✨ If you’re curious about how to cultivate your own growth mindset, resilience, and inner strength, head to the link in my bio to read the full story with more insights ✨ @marissaspractice #growthmindset

I attended an inspiring day at Intellect’s Mental Health Festival 2025 ✨ @intellect.co Here are some key insights that truly stayed with me: ???? AI in Healthcare – Always keep a human in the loop. AI can support with admin like case notes, but therapists are here to do what they do best: help people. ???? Burnout – It’s not just the workload. Work design, how tasks are structured and communicated, is 120x more likely to cause burnout than the workload itself. ???? DEI – Labels aside, it all comes back to empathy, inclusion, and kindness. ???? Organisational Wellbeing – Leadership wellbeing is the #1 factor driving team and organisational performance. Leaders set the emotional climate. ???? Retention – Most people don’t leave their jobs because of the work. They leave because of people: micromanagement, toxic behaviours, and poor relationships. These conversations were a powerful reminder: wellbeing, leadership, and culture are inseparable. ???? ???? Emotionally Intelligent Leadership is more important than ever, bridging the gap between cultures and generations. Does this resonate with you? Let’s connect ???????? #emotionallyintelligentleadership #intellect #organisationaldevelopment

Childhood is never just the past — it quietly shapes the future. ???? Neuroscience tells us that every word we heard, every comfort we received, and even the silences we felt, become patterns in the brain ????. These early experiences guide how we trust, love, and face challenges as adults. The story of who we are today often begins long before we can even remember. A child who was encouraged grows up seeing challenges as opportunities ????. A child who was silenced may step into adulthood doubting their own voice ????. ✨ But here’s the hopeful truth: while our earliest experiences shape the foundation, they don’t have to define the entire story. Once we understand where these patterns come from, we gain the power to rewire them. Our future isn’t only written in the past — it can also be rewritten in the choices we make today. ???????? #Neuroscience #ChildhoodHealing #MentalHealthAwareness #Neuroplasticity #ɢʀᴏᴡᴛʜᴍɪɴᴅsᴇᴛ

For the longest time, I kept telling myself: “I just need more time.” “I need to try harder.” “I need to earn more, do more, be more.” But slowly… I realised it wasn’t about more. It was always about different. Different mindset. Different systems. Different values. Because maybe: ❌ It’s not time you lack — it’s clarity. ❌ It’s not willpower — it’s the structure around you. ❌ It’s not more stuff — it’s the peace that comes from gratitude. ❌ It’s not more success — it’s the reminder that you’re already enough. A quiet shift in perspective can change everything. You don’t always need to push harder. Sometimes, you just need to see it differently. #mindsetshift #perspectiveiseverything #lessbutbetter #innerclarity #growthjourney #alignedliving #youareenough #reframeyourmindset
