My heart is broken ? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yesterday morning Khat, (Also know as Khitty, Auntie Khitty, and Khitty Girl) passed away peacefully in her sleep after 16 years of bringing joy, smiles, cuteness, and kisses to everyone she met. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She was the purest being on earth. She rarely made any noise but had every person she met wrapped around her paw the minute they met her. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ She spent the last week or so of her life being hand fed bacon, ribs, steak, and beef ? and was surrounded by her family and loved ones everyday. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When we brought Zeppelin home as a puppy, we happened to be babysitting Khat and Diego as well. That first night Zeppelin was scared and wouldn’t stop crying in her kennel. We moved Khat into her kennel and she calmed Zep down immediately and they have had the sweetest bond every since. (Made even cuter by Zep being 65 lbs and Khat being 6 lbs) After we lost Diego a few years ago, Khat would come over to spend the days with our Monsters while my mom was working. This morning as we went upstairs they both checked her “spot” on the corner of the couch where she was always perched, over seeing her kingdom, and she wasn’t there...? She has left a void too big to fill and every time I walk by her spot I am reminded of how lucky we were to have had so many years with our Khitty Girl. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So today, in lieu of flowers, she would like you to give your pups an extra piece of bacon and a big hug in her honour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Auntie Khitty, you are so missed and I know when the tears dry I will forever look back at your photos and videos remember how it felt to hold you. You were my girl for over half my life and I just wish I could have one more nose kiss ❤️ I know you’re glad to be back with your brother now. I love you both. Forever and always.
