The only thing that could get me to go to a BAR on HALLOWEEN for the first time in a literal decade was seeing a Ramones cover set by @sleater_kinney w/ Fred Armisen on drums. The Moans were so good, 10/10, worth getting a babysitter and leaving the house after dark for. My mom @dawnbaby007 was just diagnosed with breast cancer and could really use some support right now as she’s starting treatment next week and is out of work for the foreseeable future (link in my bio). I’m really just so so so so so thankful every SINGLE day for the lovely little sanctuary that we’ve built at @wild.pansy.studios ???????? I don’t take for granted that going to work is such a bright spot in my life, that I’m able to support my family and own a business and get to live a pretty darn nice life, too, like????????? I get to tell jokes all day while I brush beautiful hair and hang out with hotties??? I get to make people look and feel better???? I get to use my technical brain and my art brain all day everyday?!? What a dream. I got my nails done last week and immediately took my hot dog nails to the hot dog shop for a little snack. This video has been sitting in my drafts for like 10 days now so I figure I should post it today (July 4th) so we can all celebrate the real reason for the season, which is of course Jennifer Coolidge saying these iconic lines from 2003s Legally Blonde 2 and nothing else! For real tho these two lines have been running through my head literally non stop since I left the nail salon and I’m not mad ???????????? Thank you as always to the weenie queen supreme @audreyfaithartistry ???????????? and before you ask, this dog had mustard and kraut on it but I’ll take a glizzy any which way it comes baybeeee, even with just ketchup, which I know is comtroversh to some of yall haters. Wow! Santa brought me a salon for Christmas! Just kidding, but this is the surprise I’ve been hinting at! My friend @hairpotiondan found this space on Craigslist just a few short weeks ago and it’s been a whirlwind getting everything set up since then. Dan and I have worked together twice before and I’m so stoked to get to share this space with them! The holidays are the BUSIEST time of year for me and perhaps the single worst time to surprise open a business with little to no warning, but we’re doin the damn thing and it’s coming together nicely. I’ve spent all my free time the last 2 weeks driving all the heck over the state and surrounding areas to Eugene, Salem, Cottage Grove, Vancouver, Sherwood, etc fetching furniture off fb marketplace and thrift stores. I’ve been digging deep in my garage for all these gold mirrors I’ve been hoarding for a decade, and hitting up @dawnbaby007 ’s garage too for all her extra salon furniture since she closed up shop on her salon in 2020. @allihalla rewired and mounted this BONKERS antique chandelier and I’m forever indebted for her labor of love (shout out to @_siddlin for being the best volunteer lighting designer too!) It’s been nonstop and I’m so thankful for everyone who has helped in anyway. If you wanna help out or buy me a little Christmas present, there is a wishlist linked in my stories. This is the only the beginning but I truly can’t wait to share more @wild.pansy.studios with y’all ????????????
