Last Saturday, I had the privilege to speak about one of the topics close to my heart with @themaggywang and @baydoucet, simply titled ‘You’re More Than Your Body’ ❤️

We shared our experiences and journey that underneath all these layers, we’re all still human with insecurities. No matter how much I’ve shared my experience, my advise and my story on different platforms; I feel like this conversation is needed to be told and reminded again for women of all ages to hear especially in this social media age where comparison to others is rampant. That self-love journey isn’t linear and it takes time. Confidence takes practice and what we say to ourselves everyday can take on effect on how we feel throughout our lives. Always be kind to yourself.

If you missed the session, you can catch our podcast on @theheadoverheels soon! Thank you @movewithmaggy & @adidasmy for having me on board on the ForMotion weekend ? The @adidasmy #ForMotion collection is out now! #adidasmy

Happy #InternationalWomensDay! Everyday we need to stand in solidarity with all the women around the world fighting against the patriarchy. Celebrate loudly, visibly, fiercely, unapologetically, with solidarity, with love, with rage and with pride for your women and sisters.

Celebrate the revolutionary women pioneering the movement and giving other women the courage to speak up and give zero fucks.

Celebrate in empathy with millions of women who are subjected to sexism, domestic abuse, sexual harassments, assaults and acid attacks.

Celebrate in solidarity for the disabled women who continue to lack access to public spaces, face social stigmas and remain the most vulnerable in our societies.

Celebrate in anger on why young women and children are still being trafficked and why child marriage is still happening in some countries.

Celebrate in solidarity with our trans sisters who continue to be denied the right to womanhood and to exist.

Celebrate in solidarity with indigenous women for having their homes robbed by greedy capitalists.

Celebrate the women who has faced head on with authorities to protect their comrades and children to fight for their livelihoods and environment.

Celebrate and to recognize the oppression faced by black women and ongoing racism that kills them and their children.

Celebrate in empathy for darker women of colour for facing colourism everyday.

Celebrate the commitment of women in the Middle East for fighting against the sexist double standards and resisting religious fundamentalism everyday. Palestinian women fighting against the occupation, Syrian women escaping their war torn homes for the betterment of their children, Kurdish sisters fighting against ISIS head on and many more.

Justice and liberty for all. Women’s rights are human rights. #womensmarchmy #perarakanwanitamy
