We are excited to share an update on our progress the last month

Production Update

Great news is that we have purchased all necessary equipment (jigs&fixtures) for the complete assembly line and right now the assembly line is being tested on the engineering validation test (EVT) build pilot run.
Were really excited to say that ORBI Prime EVT build pre-mass production run is underway.

Several photos from the production line are attached.

The pilot run was a small production run to make sure all of the intended performance tests meet the specifications and functional requirements and tolerances, as well to make sure the production, assembly and glueing processes worked well in practice.
After EVT functional tests are done one production-worthy configuration will be finalized that meets all of the product requirements for functionality, performance, and reliability.

Software Update

We have implemented an additional power mode - standby. As we needed a compromise between power consumption and cold start time. In standby mode CPU and the rest systems except RAM are not powered, so power consumption is very low. But if user wants to shoot something it takes just few seconds to wake up the device and start recording.

What were working through next:

1) A number of connectivity and feature-related bugs are still being worked on and are nearing completion.
2) Fixes to the less frequent app crashing or connectivity challenges
3) In certain situations, camera-specific bugs have popped up and are being addressed.
4) We will have more extensive quality assurance tests in place. Lastly, we underestimated the amount of time needed to handle issues as we rolled out the pre-mass production, we are truly sorry about the delays . That said, know that the team and our partners are committed to working through these last issues as quickly as possible and getting a great product in your hands soon.

Dear All! ?‍♂️ Since our last update, we have been working hard on the manufacturing preparations for the ORBI Prime for another 2 months. ??

In the last update, we shared major updates in terms of hardware developments. All these improvements were implemented into the EVT build design and now we have completed the tooling and PCB fabrication. The PCB fabrication and assembly started on June 4th and was completed on June 15th. The bring up of the boards is scheduled on June 18th. The rough tooling for all parts was completed on June 15th and now minor corrections to the tools are being made. Once fine-tuned, the polishing for all EVT build tooling parts is scheduled to be completed by EOM June. Above you may find some images taken inside the factory site. ⬆️⬆️⬆️

The firmware part is also being fine tuned, we have been producing and testing both video and photo modes. ??
