Motherhood can feel endless and in the quiet moments of cuddling and soothing, it’s easy to feel like you aren’t doing enough. But the truth is, you’re doing everything. Every cuddle and every second of peace is a layer of love you are giving him and that is the most important thing right now in the world.

Bolognese is one of our ultimate family meals — a dish you can cook for everyone at once and it always makes delicious leftovers! It’s true that a long simmer on the stove develops a depth of flavor that can’t be rushed. The good news is you can get that flavor for yourself while still making a safe portion for your little one. The Key Step: To make this bolognese baby-friendly, simply scoop out the baby’s portion after Step 3 (once the crushed tomatoes are in, but before the seasonings, wine, and milk are added). My boys absolutely love this recipe, and I feel great knowing they’re getting so many proteins and veggies in every bite. Feel free to customise this recipe to best fit your family’s needs: swap fresh tomatoes for canned, add more or less of your favorite vegetables, or adjust the spices. Ingredients: - 1 lb. ground beef - 1 onion, diced - 5 garlic cloves, minced - 3 celery stalk, diced - 2 carrots, peeled, diced - 3-4 tomatoes, diced or 1 can of whole tomatoes - Kosher salt & pepper to taste - 1/4 cup dry red wine - 2 Tbsp tomato paste - 1 Tbsp brown sugar - 1-2 bay leaf - 1 cup chicken broth (I used @anyameals chicken stock) - 1 cup whole milk - Add your favorite pasta - Parmesan, grated Instructions: 1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Break beef into small clumps and add to pot. Cook until browned, about 5-8 minutes. 2. Add onions, garlic, celery, carrots and bell peppers to pot and cook, stirring occasionally until vegetables are soft. 3. Add in crushed tomatoes. 4. STOP HERE and scoop out the baby’s portion. 5. Pour in wine. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until reduced. 6. Add tomato paste, salt, pepper, sugar and bay leaf, stirring occasionally until fragrant. 7. Pour stock into pot. Add milk. Reduce to low heat and cook, uncovered and stirring occasionally, until meat is tender, 30-45 minutes. 8. In a pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions. #familymeal #babyfood #BLW #puree

As you might know, I’m not in a rush to start baby-led weaning this time round and that’s intentional. We’re taking it slow, focusing on real food and watching for eczema triggers. Despite our cautious approach, I’ve found some favorite low-risk, high-reward hacks for both teething and baby-led weaning that have worked great for my boys. Lyor didn’t enjoy the feel of the mango pit, even though he loved the taste. This was the complete opposite of his brother, Liam. It just goes to show that every baby is different!

What a treat to spend an uninterrupted afternoon feasting on an incredible fish lunch at @fyshsingapore at @singaporeedition ???? The Swordfish Empanadas and Fish Head Curry Terrine were incredible, but the biggest surprise for me was the fish bone noodles— so unique and delicious! It’s the perfect spot for a long, casual lunch and with their new bar and vegetarian menus, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. #SophieEatsSG

Flowers and vases are certainly one of my obsessions, and these are special. The vases are from @chomcharm_official’s Atlantis Collection—their most distinctive and premium series. A beautiful collaboration with a Dutch designer known for his sculptural approach and artistic eye. Each vase is handbuilt one by one — no molds, no casting, making every piece entirely distinct. They’re not just vases, they’re statement pieces. Don’t you agree?

Creating this new body of work has been a beautiful and challenging journey. It’s taken months of finding uninterrupted moments, embracing constant interruptions and just trusting the process. Colour has always been the most instinctive part of my practice, a spontaneous, almost meditative act. For me, it’s about how a colour feels and what it reveals when placed next to another, and I’ve poured that emotional truth into these works. This collection is a reflection of my life right now — a meditation on the powerful, quiet connection of motherhood. I’ve used a refined palette of warm, earthy tones to capture the joy and grounding I’ve found in this new role. My children have taught me so much, reminding me what it’s like to simply “be and to see.” The pieces feature strong colours that are also soft, much like a mother who must be both tender and strong. I hope this work inspires them and you — to see that creativity and imagination are always a vital part of our lives. These works are on view and available for purchase at @heveyasg Flagship Store in Tiong Bahru starting today until September 15th. Collaborating together has always been a dream come true, and I’m honored to showcase my work with a brand that resonates so deeply with my values. Thank you once again for having me back!

That’s how I introduced scallops to my 7-month-old! I used just 3 ingredients and 20 minutes to whip up this fluffy, delicious meal. Steamed egg is the ultimate flavor cushion, making new foods like scallop instantly welcoming. Pro tip: Use a great broth — its quality determines the dish’s flavor! I used chicken broth from @anyameals Ingredients: • 1 egg (lightly beaten) • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth (for thinning the egg mixture) • Scallop or other naturally sweet seafood Steam until just set, about 10 minutes. #steamedegg #BLW #babyfood #puree
