Happy #EarthDay! ?
It’s also #WaybackWednesday, so I thought that I might share some pics from when I made these fantastic #rawvegan HOT Buffalo cauliflower bites whilst playing around with food in one of my @tribestlife Sedona Classic dehydrators. Ah, how I miss my lovely Sedonas... In any case, I made these by creating a batter from coconut mylk, a bit of ground linseed (to create an “egg”-like binding), some homemade sprouted buckwheat flour, raw coconut flour, spices, a bit of my homemade hot sauce (for which I may be doing a #UKgiveaway quite soon), & some other things I cannot quite recall at this time. ?
To be continued on the blog!
They made a perfect wrapped sandwich with some of my classic activated sunflower seed ranch sauce, nestled inside a delicious @cocobynuco raw coconut “tortilla” wrap. ?
As we are still in pseudo isolation here in the U.K., I have finally found a few moments to begin conquering a few major projects whilst enjoying some solitude and sunshine. ?
Amongst said projects is a complete overhaul of the blog at #RawVeganista.com, with kind assistance from one of the most talented designers I know. Also in the process of developing & redeveloping some of my favourite #rawveganrecipes to share (including the one pictured here) to post for you to enjoy once we go live with the new site. I’ll also be reviewing some fantastic #rawfood & #wellness products, hosting giveaways, and posting news on upcoming #culinary workshops & retreats in the #UK, #USA, #France, and possibly a few other spots to be decided/announced in the near future as things begin to re-open around the world. Hoping to have everything completed and ready to roll out by 5th of May, just in time for my 30th #veganniversary! ?
In the meantime, I’ll soon have a couple of new reviews & ideas up my sleeve, and shall continue to post updates, reviews, and other news via stories feed. Peace, gratitude, and may all beings live happy and free! ??? .

The first image in this series (also from the homepage on my website) is from the first time I tried working with #seamoss—in around 2012. This was during the earlier stages of the #healing process after my cycling accident in Los Angeles, when I opted to modify a #soyafree #rawfood “tofu” recipe from Juliano’s RAW book—& attempted a #cashewfree version so that I could actually eat it.

For this dish I used #Irishmoss from @divineorganics & some lush #organic #macadamia nuts from a local #familyfarm. #California macadamia nuts are the absolute BEST! ???

At the time I found working with the sea moss to be incredibly bizarre, & the texture (when reconstituted) reminded me of some type of living sea creature. ? Such a creepy experience for a long-term #vegan! ?
It actually took me a bit of time to get over that, but eventually I learned the #nutritionalbenefits of seamoss & learned how to properly prepare a very palatable #seamossgel. So easy!
The texture of this “fauxfu” creation turned out to be very similar to silken tofu (which was never my favourite, though I did occasionally use it for sweet custards & pies), & I used the resulting cubes in a raw Thai style dish with #kelpnoodles & spicy sauce made from #homemade #organic almond butter (find my recipe for #rawvegan spicy satay sauce on the blog at #RawVeganista.com).
These days I use #seamoss quite regularly for many things, & enjoy incorporating it into a vast variety of #rawvegan #culinary applications.

Final note: This was originally meant to be #FlashbackFriday post, but happened on Saturday due to mass technical & connectivity issues which still have yet to be resolved. Sending SO MUCH #GRATIUDE to my shining #vegan knight Stuart (also #veganforlife for over 30 years! ?) for the last photo in this post, & also for helping me navigate my way through some of this technological labyrinth by allowing me use of his connection & devices. ??

It’s been a fair while since my last post, mainly as I’ve been quite busy & also keeping things very simple in relation to my daily #rawvegan eating.
I also haven’t been online much over the past week or so, but am now noticing a slew of “#CoronaVirus” hype. As such, this seemed a reasonable opportunity for me (as someone who has not been physically affected by this so-called pandemic, or any other viral infection in possibly over a decade) to cast in my own proverbial “two cents” (for what it’s worth). The inspiration for sharing a few of my #immunity tips (along with some #Paris food/fun pics from time spent with @lesparynxians—please scroll! ?) came from a recent post via the @_rizzaislam account on how scientists in #London are offering to pay people who are willing to allow themselves to be infected with #Covid19 as a medical experiment geared toward development of a vaccine. ??‍♀️
I won’t bother to elaborate upon my true feelings on any of that, but will share a few tips I added to a discussion regarding healing remedies for respiratory illnesses in general:

Increased intake of Vitamin C (as a megadose via bioavailable supplement/Liposomal form as suggested by @_rizzaislam) is an excellent way to to heal/rebuild a weakened immune system. Cayenne (& other hot peppers—I personally prefer scotch bonnet/habanero) is actually higher in Vitamin C content than any citrus fruit found on the market, so incorporating that into one’s daily health/healing regimen is an excellent first step.
Strengthening immunity is also achieved by improving one’s digestion, so building up beneficial gut flora is imperative. For this I suggest use of high-quality #nondairy probiotics, both in supplemental & #plantbased whole food form (such as PINEAPPLE ?, raw fermented foods, & #kombucha). For clearing the respiratory system, both chickweed & mullein are natural expectorants, & quickly act to dissolve/expel mucous from the lungs. I have observed great success after having suggested all of these methods to clients, family, & friends over the years—as well as having utilised them myself on the odd occasion where I’ve felt certain symptoms. Hoping you will, too!

It’s been a fair while since my last post, mainly as I’ve bee Read More

It’s been a minute since I’ve made a gallery post, mainly since Instastories has been so much more convenient on the go!
#NationalPizzaDay seemed like an ideal time to break the silence, especially since having received quite a few enquiries as to whether or not I would be “celebrating” it here in the U.K. (as #rawveganpizza is one of the specialities for which I have become rather infamous in various parts of the USA). Can I get a #newyorkstyle holla for my #gourmetraw #chicagostyle pies? ???
Erm, okay, so anyway... ??‍♀️ So now seemed as good a time as any to share a stack of photo & video footage of my U.K. pizza projects via friends, clients, colleagues (as well as my own archives) over the past several months.
As with all of my gallery posts to this account, everything seen here is completely #vegan, #raw, #organic, #glutenfree, #soyafree, #cashewfree, #alliumfree & processed at or below 42°C/108°F (in this case with a #fooddehydrator).
In relation to such, this may also be an ideal moment to announce that I have been discussing future collaborations with amazing #vegan innovators & hotspots around the U.K., including @pete_simplyrawgeous, @vantralondon, #AvalonPriory, & others. Essentially, I have been working extensively to curate a handful of select co-conspirators around #London, #Somerset, & possibly #Brighton with intention to organise some exciting projects & events soon to be announced. How many of you would be interested in participating in #rawvegansupperclub, festival, presentation & workshop events featuring
#rawvegan pizzas, specialty kombucha cocktails, & other sumptuous #rawfood delights over the next several months?
I’m also about to embark upon a (hopefully fruitful—pun intended ?) European pilgrimage into some #veganic farming & #permaculture hotspots over the next few weeks, so the possibility for fruitluck & foraging events may also become imminent!
And so... that’s my long overdue update, to share what’s been happening & wish all of you a happy new year, decade, & #InternationalPizzaDay!??
Ciao for now, & cheers to those who have kindly shared their time, energy, resources, images & videos w/ me (y’all know who you are).

It’s been a minute since I’ve made a gallery post, mainly sin Read More

At this point I’m sharing this as a flashback post, as it’s now been two weeks since it happened! Possibly a bit too chilly in the U.K. for anyone to fancy a frozen cocktail at the mo, albeit potentially super helpful for some friends in Southern Europe or parts of the USA who may be enjoying an “Indian Summer” (I never understood that term—anyone care to enlighten in terms of its origin?)... However, certain ingredients are not yet available in the States... perhaps soon? Anyway, here goes!
A super fabulous sunny day in beautiful Brixton called for a super fabulous cocktail, #rawvegan #wellness style!
Since having returned to London I’ve managed to find all manner of splendid, seemingly decadent treats in some of the most unexpected places!
#Rumish from @ishspirits was something picked up in @hollandandbarrett, along with the Zera nonalcoholic, #vegan/#organic (#veganic) wines I mentioned a few weeks ago in my stories (now in the “London ?” featured archive just above my gallery). This “Rumish” product with which I’ve been playing lately is off the hook delicious, and actually tastes like rum! I used to do the #virgincocktail thing fairly often sans substitution, but this #teetotal treat was next level delicious. ??? I also used @lucybeecoconut’s #creamedcoconut, which is rather impressive and proved a rather solid stand-in for the @artisanaorganics #coconutbutter I have grown to know and love over a great many years. Finally, I decided to give the @innocent coconut water a try, which tied things together quite nicely when given a spin in the @nutribullet. All in all I would call this experiment a great success, and highly recommended giving it a try if you’re able!
My super simple #rawveganrecipe went as follows: - 8oz (250g) frozen pineapple
- 1 Tbsp creamed coconut (aka #coconutbutter) from @lucybeecoconut - 1 shot #Rumish #nonalcoholic spirits
- 4 oz. coconut water of your choice (I used @innocent for this round)

Combine all ingredients & blend (I used a @nutribullet this time) until smooth & creamy.
I had originally intended to post this as part of a review (along with #rawveganrecipes) on the blog, & may do so very soon!

Happy Monday! ?
It’s been so very long since my last post, and I promise to remedy that very soon! There may even be some new blog posts on the horizon (time, obligations, and other projects allowing)... ??? To begin this week with a magical flourish of heartfelt #gratitude & openness to more amazingness to come (I know of one special delivery already on its way as I type this ✈️?), I thought that I might share something from my companion animal carer account—as it relates largely to food and this amazing harvest season about which I’ve been posting to my stories feed on a near daily basis (please feel free to check out my “London ?” & “Seaside Life” stories highlights for a glimpse of my most recent adventures). Yesterday I went with Dylan the dog for a long walk in search of “The Common” in Great Wakering, where I was advised by some neighbours that there was massive fruit #foraging (including pears—and of course more delicious blackberries ??). Along the way we spotted a number of cyclists involved in some charity competition (Dylan was visibly spooked) and began to feel massively lost, so stopped to look at a lovely old house surrounded by a beautiful garden.
I rang the bell and a lady answered, so I introduced myself, introduced Dylan, expressed my appreciation for her garden (& gardening in general), and told her that we had lost our bearings in search for The Common.
She then introduced herself as Maggie, invited us in, introduced us to her husband and their dog (Keith & Missy), gave us a very comprehensive tour of her stunning back garden (seriously wow ?), and later sent us back on our way with clearer instructions on how to reach our destination—along with a massive bag of gorgeous, freshly harvested, organically grown produce from her amazing #permaculture garden. Please enjoy the pics from our lovely #garden adventure! .

Please enjoy the pics from our lovely #garden adventure! .

#ThrowbackThursday post to look back on some of the #rawvegan (also #grainfree/#glutenfree/#alliumfree/#soyfree) lunches I managed to crank out throughout the course of #Veganuary—even without a dehydrator!
Many thanks to the recipient of these bento lunches for sending these nice photos to me from his office (please be sure to swipe left to view all of his #rawveganfoodporn ??)!

Just a quick test shot of tonight’s #seasidevegan meal prep endeavour, which is actually an amped up remix of the #rawvegan Thai-style daikon “noodle” dish I made for @Intelligentsia the other night, along with some of my signature raw pineapple “fried rice” all rolled up into some of the best #rawnori from @meseaveg for a Thai style #maki effect. ?

Found a bunch of things to play with yesterday whilst shopping in Southend, & will do my best to share via stories during the week (time & light permitting)... In other news... ?
Something seems to have happened to my #Nikon camera’s built-in flash mechanism whilst in transit, which is a big part of why I’ve only been posting dodgy iPhone pics via instastories for the past month or so... ?
I’ve been meaning to pick up a decent external flash since I first got my #NikonD3200 (ages ago), so I suppose that this is just a stronger incentive to sort that out ASAP... ??‍♀️ Meanwhile, I am totally open to any tips from fellow #nikonphotography aficionados who may have a better idea as to why the #D3200 flash may have just suddenly decided to not work (seriously, I would love to know if it could be something as simple as a bulb replacement & don’t have the manual with me in England)! ?
At some point I’ll likely end up posting a few decent #rawveganfoodporn pics I’ve managed to capture via iPhone, and also share some #RawVeganista food prep images sent my way by some of you. ?????✨?

Today’s #ThrowbackThursday is a birthday shoutout to Myriam from @rawheadbread,
as well as an enormous THANK YOU for her kind donation to my ebook fundraising pool. ? ???? ?
Some of you may remember my previous post (& Instastories) about how much fun I had making #rawvegan treats & #rawveganicecream sundaes with her incredibly delicious #glutenfree #rawfood waffles, but I never quite got around to sharing all of the little savoury bites I was making whilst travelling the USA with her super delicious bagels. They’re great, too! ?
Swiping left through these images will give an idea of how versatile they can be, from savoury open face breakfast sarnies (featuring my infamous truffled coconut scramble ?), to raw #vegan macadamia cream cheese laden brunch treats piled high with marinated veggies, to mega stacked pizza bagel #RawOnTheRoad #Veganic travel snack creations... #RawheadBread is the ultimate #travelsnack, office, or #stayathome foundation to satisfy hunger & basic inclinations toward #culinary creativity.
For more splendid ideas on how to use these amazingly innovative treats, please check out the delicious @rawheadbread gallery on Instagram & wish her a very blessed solar return! ?
For anyone else who would like to learn about my imminent ebook (or make a donation to help in its creation), please check out the link in my bio. ???✨?✨
