Flash back to a little over a week ago when I was channeling #meredithgrey vibes, hanging out in hospital scrubs, taking photographs of surgeries for my new social media client in Sydney. Pandemic interstate travel vibes... Flying is so weird right now. Everything from what you pack... Masks, hand sanitisers and antibacterial wipes. Then all the new rules! Most notably, only a few people are allowed in the isle at one time because social distancing ? meanwhile you rub elbows with your neighbour because hello... Seats are teeny tiny and everyone is on top of one another, just like they usually are ? I don’t get the point of enforcing social distancing in the isles if they aren’t keeping every second seat empty ? These are crazy times friends!⠀ ⠀ I'm in Sydney till Saturday working with a new social media client ❤️ so fingers crossed Covid doesn't get too out of control here cause I'm keen to go home and I need them to let me in??

One minute it was March. And now it’s August! Most of this year has been a blur ✈️??? Adelaide is beautiful and I'm thankful to be here because there is so much to love but some days I just feel unsettled and find myself longing to be back in Bali ? We just haven't seen or experienced much of what the city has to offer yet with all that’s been going down. It’s a funny feeling, being lost and like you haven't found your place or your people, but we will get there and for now, we find moments of joy in the mundane ? ⠀ ⠀ Sharing this one, from an afternoon adventure to the ocean at sunset. It was FREEZING ? even dressed in boots and jumpers! But it was beautiful and super good for the soul ❤️ Hope you’re all finding a little time and space to nourish yourself during these crazy times

I’ve been quiet but I’ve been here. Listening. Learning. Thinking about my own white privilege and the life I’ve been fortunate to live, simply because of the colour of my skin. The last few days, my feed has been this incredible resource, full of heartbreaking words and imagery but also inspiring change-makers and moments of beauty. I've been MIA of late but what a crazy 8 weeks it's been! I packed up our Bali home and moved us to Adelaide for Audrey's last 2 years of high school. Everyone says why Adelaide? Rather random... I know! I was sure we would go back to Sydney but we knew leaving Bali would have us experiencing all kinds of emotions after 7 {mostly} magical years there ✨??? and we longed for something different and unfamiliar. A new town to explore. And so the researching began for the perfect place to settle. I was thinking Melbourne or Perth but Audrey and I fell in love with a girls school here that seemed rather special {judging by the website ?} and when we visited Australia in June, it just felt right, so here we are. ⠀ ⠀ We arrived on December 7th. Found a sweet little house to rent on the 8th ? applied for it and found out it was ours on the 9th ?? Moved in on the 17th. Had nothing but our clothes and computers so there was loads we needed. We shopped up a storm, buying everything but the kitchen sink... Literally!⠀ ⠀ In amongst all the moving madness, I squished in two work trips to Sydney to do some social media coaching and a strategy session, while still managing 4 businesses social media accounts. I'm tired just thinking about it all ? and we still have a bit to do here to get all set up but Audrey started school today which is super exciting indeed! It makes all the craziness and sleepless nights feel worthwhile and it's so good to feel like we are on the home stretch now ?? ⠀ Sharing a photo of Audrey taken last year because I love it and never did get around to sharing these, other than in stories.
