Funny enough, the most common comparatives are exceptions, not the rule (the rule is to add -ЕЕ like in 'теплЕE' or in 'интереснЕЕ'). Check yourself:
▫️Хорошо, хороший - лучше - better
▫️Плохой, плохо - хуже - worse
▫️Много, большой - больше - more, bigger
▫️Мало, маленький - меньше - less, smaller
▫️Высоко, высокий - выше - higher, taller
▫️Низко, низкий - ниже - lower
▫️Широко, широкий - шире - wider
▫️Узко, узкий - ýже - narrower
▫️Тихо, тихий - тише - quieter
▫️Громко, громкий - громче - louder
▫️Редко, редкий - реже - more rarely

? ПО́МНИТЬ - simply the fact of remembering smth (only imperfective)
1. Я по́мню про твой день рожде́ния. Он че́рез неде́лю. – I remember about your birthday. It’s in a week.
2. Я не по́мню, как его́ зову́т. – I don’t remember his name.
3. Ты по́мнишь, как дойти́ до того́ ме́ста? – Do you remember how to reach that place?

? ЗАПОМИНА́ТЬ – ЗАПО́МНИТЬ – to ‘put it into your memory’, to do smth in order to memorise it
1. Что́бы запо́мнить но́вые слова́, я запи́сываю их в тетра́дь и пишу́ предложе́ния с ни́ми. – In order to memorise the new words I write them down into the notebook and make sentences with them.
2. Обы́чно я пло́хо запомина́ю имена́. – I usually have difficulties remembering the names.

? ВСПОМИНА́ТЬ – ВСПО́МНИТЬ – to recall smth (after some time)
1. Как его́ зову́т? Он предста́вился, а я не могу́ вспо́мнить его́ и́мя! – What’s his name? He introduced himself but I can’t recall his name now!
2. Мо́жешь вспо́мнить, когда́ ты после́дний раз отдыха́л? – Can you recall when you had a rest las time?

? НАПОМИНА́ТЬ – НАПО́МНИТЬ – to remind smb about smth/smb
1. Мо́жешь напо́мнить мне купи́ть молоко́ по доро́ге домо́й? – Can you remind me to buy some milk on the way home?
2. Я сде́лаю э́то сего́дня ве́чером! Не напомина́й мне об э́том ка́ждую секу́нду! – I will do it tonight! No need to remind me about it every second.
3. Э́та пе́сня напомина́ет мне о моём де́тстве. – This song reminds me about my childhood.
