STORY TIME: I think it's been overdue to explain what actually went down when we LOST MUAZ. YES, I AND MY HUSBAND LOST HIM FOR 25 MINS which were pure agony.
Let's talk about how we lost him. My in-laws were super sweet to arrange a surprise birthday party for Muaz. We rocked up to there place and it was all fun and exciting. I and my husband I dropped the kids with them with two extra helpers mind you and left to make a quick stop at the nearest shop.
We did our shopping and as we drove up near the parking lot I saw the house boy running around with the security guard. My heart sank and I told myself and my husband ( don't worry it's nothing )

I pulled the window down and ask him what happened and if everything was ok. He tried to peak in the car to check for his car seat and said MUAZ WENT WITH YOU GUYS RIGHT?
I looked at my husband and said park the car I will meet you inside. I dropped everything and started running up in the staircase. I didn't know I had the stamina to run upwards on a staircase to 8 floors and then run down shouting his name out every floor.
The whole family was looking around and thankfully we were in a closed and secure community where the kids can actually never leave the building without an adult's help.

Long story short because those 20 mins felt like 20 days to me where I am running around looking for my sweet little boy who just turned 4. There was few seconds during this run where my heart sank thinking ( did he jump off the balcony ?? you always think of worst-case scenario ) and I kept my hand on my heart and said Allah is with him and kept searching.
Next thing I know I saw my husband running from the other side of the corridor and a security guy running behind him. The guard said I got a call and We followed him to the nearest neighbor and rang the bell.
Muaz walked out with the kindest lady ever holding his coloring book and pencil. I couldn't stand the sight, while I had my calm this whole time I lost it and turned around, I couldn't believe we actually found HIM.

Start of this year i attended a fabulous event by @tishtashtalks thanks @tashhatherall for inviting me. It was called #yearofyou
The amazing founder of @lighthousearabia gave some amazing tips for reconnecting with yourselves. I have actually used them and i think they work. Check them out and let me know what some of your hacks/tips in the comments.
Manage your notifications:

Turn them off it you can, the apps are designed to keep you addicted to them. If you turn off the push notifications you can actually stop picking up the phone every time is lights up.
Dont TECH multitask:

For-example: Don’t watch tv and use phone. Or don’t do your email and watch tv. Its extremely bad for your brain. Find other stuff to multi task with which actually helps your brain with stimulation.
De clutter your phone:

Delete an app, delete people, make meaningful content. Its like you are taking out the negatives from your life.
Put it away:

Thats the easiest and the hardest at the same time. PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY. FORGET ABOUT IT. Give yourself 15 mins each day to start with and obviously keep a goal. Try to do an hour without touching your phone or even thinking about it.
To meditate:
It doesn’t have to be that you need to sit down at the yoga mat and cross your legs and close your eyes. Some of us don’t have time to do that. Meditation means just focus on your breathing perhaps.
One tip can be when you stop at a traffic light you have 1-3 mins usually. Don’t touch your phone and while it has stopped start focusing on your breathing and relax.
Lastly for people who like to read A recommended book was : Lost connection

This post is to declare my biggest insecurity this year.
I am turning 30. I know i know for some it will be like ahhh not that big of a number right now. But for me it is. Leaving my 20s feel like i will be changing everything now.
I have achieved alot in my 20s from my degrees, to scoring amazing jobs, to getting married , starting my blog and having 2 beautiful boys. This decade has been beautiful to me but now that i am entering 30s i am nervous and scared.
I have always liked celebrating my birthday with my loved ones but this year i seriously dont want to. I feel like 30 is a big number for me and not sure if i am in a mood to celebrate.
Comment down below if you ever felt this way with any number of age or is it just me being paranoid. ????
