We came across this majestic bull elephant as he slowly made his way across the plains. His massive frame was caked with dried mud, evidence of a recent wallow - a natural way to cool down and protect his skin from the harsh African sun and biting insects. #elephant #big5 #gentlegiant #mudbath #sabisabi

We spent some time observing a hyena clan, which included individuals of all ages—from playful youngsters to experienced adults. The mix of ages created the perfect environment for social interaction and play. Sub-adults, in particular, play a crucial role in the lives of the cubs, helping to teach them essential survival skills through play and mentorship. #hyena #nature #wild #clan #sabisabi

On a cold, overcast morning, this Lilac-breasted Roller perched low in a tree, its feathers fluffed up against the chill as it worked to maintain its body temperature. These birds are among the most photographed in Africa—and it’s easy to see why. #bird #birdphotography #birding #safariphotography #sabisabi

As we returned to the lodge after our morning safari, our final sighting was a sounder of warthogs slowly becoming active, seeking water to quench their thirst before beginning their day’s foraging. The large male was particularly alert, keeping a watchful eye on us to ensure the safety of his group. Warthogs have a low survival rate, as they are frequently targeted by predators in the area, making their constant vigilance essential for survival. #warthog #safarilife #bushveldbeauty #wildlife #sabisabi

Male leopards patrol their territories diligently to ensure no intruders have entered. They cover long distances, visiting key points to detect any signs of other leopards and re-mark their scent to reaffirm their dominance. #leopard #bigcats #big5 #luxurysafari #sabisabi

We returned to where the Msuthlu Pride had been sleeping that morning and found them just as they were starting to become active. They began moving west into our reserve, likely in search of water to aid digestion after their last meal, before setting out to hunt again. #lions #lionpride #bigcats #safari #sabisabi

The sunset painted the sky with vibrant shades of orange, a breathtaking reminder of how fortunate we are to call this place home. #sunset #wanderlust #safari #sky #sabisabi
