My kids have been asking so many questions since we have been watching the nightly news and I have been slowly explaining to them so they can digest and understand all that is going on. It’s hard for them to understand because they are still so young and there are so many layers for them to comprehend. They mentioned many times that they wanted to attend a protest and do their part (especially my elder son). As reluctant as I was to bring them due to safety concerns, I would never want to stifle their desire to protest. And so, we took our kids to their very first protest two weeks ago and I couldn’t be prouder of them. We continued conversations and then we took them to their second protest yesterday. Little Lyla joined as well.

We were blessed with a healthy baby girl at the start of the week in the epicenter of this global pandemic. All Glory be to God. My new quarantine buddy is such a sweetheart. ?#alhamdulillah

‪Wondering when baby girl is going to make her debut. In this pandemic that we are in, I can’t shake the thought that she feels safer in me than beside me and is in no rush. ‬ #4daystillduedate

‪Let’s make the jobs of our heroes at the frontlines a little easier by following the very simple guidelines of staying home, staying safe and practicing social distancing. They are putting their lives on the line every singe day by continuing to work without proper PPE just to keep us all healthy. Let’s also appreciate all of our essential workers by not going to the grocery store every other day because we are missing one item. Many of them don’t have a choice to be safe and stay at home and every time you go to the grocery stores you put yourself and them at risk of getting sick. ‬I will be adding swipe up links to my story where you can donate to help our healthcare workers on the frontlines to receive proper PPE.

‪There are many specific days where I reflect on life- where I’ve been and where I plan on going and my birthday is one of them. As I have gained another year, I never thought that I would actually be pregnant again after 8 years with our third child at 37 but this is exactly what I wanted for so long. I’m so incredibly grateful for this past year and what’s to come. Everyone has their own unique story and timeline that suits them. Your story might not fit the “norm” but it’s your own. Don’t ever think too much time has passed or you’re too old to do whatever it is that you want to do.‬

This is my third decade in a row that I’ve been pregnant/my kids were born-2009, 2011 and now 2020 (iA). It definitely makes me sound more ancient than I feel! ???? #33weeks #thirdtrimester #thirdpregnancy
