If you’re doing long static holds before lifting, you’re missing the point. Dynamic movement isn’t about flexibility… It primes your joints, sharpens coordination, and prepares your nervous system for load. Static stretching has its place… but after training, when tissues are warm and your body is ready to down-regulate. Mobility isn’t random, It’s sequencing. Dynamic first. Load second. Stretch third. Why I do dynamic movement before training and static stretching after ???? Dynamic movement before a workout isn’t about getting flexible. It’s about waking your joints up, creating control, and preparing your nervous system to move. Dynamic movement tells your body: “We’re about to work.” Static stretching after training is different. That’s when your muscles are warm, your nervous system is more receptive, and your body is ready to lengthen and recover… essentially encouraging your muscles to relax!! • Dynamic = prepare • Training = load • Stretching = down-regulate This changed how my body works and feels, especially after years of flying and lifting.
