So grateful to @ownbyfemme for being so beautiful in our brand as she brought in the new year. What a joy to see women glowing and feeling confident in the motherland, while wearing something designed in the motherland.

We took these photos last summer—just three days before I found out my lease wouldn’t be renewed. Back then, there was no urgency to share them. I had to process what that meant for the little business I built, one that has always unified women around the world. But today, I look at these images and feel nothing but gratitude. Bombchel is the most inclusive company I’ve ever seen. Women of all races, body types, ages, and life experiences—standing together in something as sacred as waist beads. I stand on this: ALL ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. When I was little, I just wanted to be cool. I wanted to fit in. I’m so grateful that when I grew up, I built the space where everybody fits in. Thank you to all of these women—our customers—who wanted to represent the beauty of our company by participating in this shoot. And while everything is happening with tariffs, I still see so much opportunity. We have space to grow African businesses and shift the economic future for African women. I know y’all haven’t had a place to tie your waist beads all year! So on Saturday, May 24, I’m hosting an event at my private home to share the beauty of waist bead ceremonies. If you’re a healer, I have space in Waist Bead Academy, where you’ll learn how to use African healing principles to create sacred spaces for women to manifest and honor their bodies. If you just want to get your beads tied for the summer, I’m offering that too. If you’ve ever wanted to be tied by the best, here’s your chance. My reputation speak for itself. This is your invitation to join a legacy of healing, beauty, and African power. Links in bio and stories.
