“All the time I was getting closer to animals and nature, and as a result, closer to myself and more and more in tune with the spiritual power that I felt all around. For those who have experienced the joy of being alone with nature there is really little need for me to say much more; for those who have not, no words of mine can even describe the powerful, almost mystical knowledge of beauty and eternity that come, suddenly, and all unexpected. The beauty was always there, but moments of true awareness were rare.“ - Dr. Jane Goodall #OurSingita

Pedals, Purpose, and the Serengeti. ????????‍♂️ This October, the Wagora Bike Ride returns. 150+ km over 3 unforgettable days, crossing the wide, wild beauty of the Serengeti plains. ???? In collaboration with @singita_ , this ride raises awareness for the incredible work of our anti-poaching unit who are helping to protect these lands and its wildlife. ???? Named after one of our fallen hero’s, we stand together to honour all rangers who protect our natural heritage.???? Ride with us, and be part of something bigger, helping protect the future of the Serengeti, one pedal stroke at a time. ???? @frederik_voigt #cycling #grumetifund #singita #wildlife #conservation #naturelovers

Nature as the backdrop to creative play. When Industrie Africa and Singita joined forces last year to collaborate with 30 fashion and jewellery designers from across the continent, we chose Kilima as the base for our first ever fashion shoot in the wild. Beyond the strong architecture and established, verdant gardens, this collaboration was as much a psychological experiment (think Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs) as a creative pursuit. We asked ourselves what self-actualization might occur for the creative team bringing the collaboration to life while our dedicated Kilima team would be meeting all of their physiological, safety, belonging, and esteem needs. A home away from home is a wonderful place to find oneself when doing creative work. Renewal. There are so many possibilities in everything, from a humble seed to a new season. Things grow and change, and we might not see or notice it. But still, they grow. In the third volume of the Singita magazine we explore the concept of renewal. Each story hopes to illuminate what we can learn, what we can gain, what we can glean by coming back to nature — or at least, by coming closer to it. And how this can inspire us to give freely of ourselves in turn. Link in bio to explore ???? #OurSingita

The next chapter of our story is about to begin, and intentions are vital. Ours, as always, are to honour the landscape, biodiversity, culture, and people of Botswana – working alongside local partners and communities to care for the Delta ecosystem in ways that are meaningful, equitable, and rooted in respect, and to give depth to the experiences we offer. Elela will welcome guests from 11 December 2026. #OurSingita

We love our proverbs in Africa so it is always a joy to come across proverbs from other cultures too. Today, we learned an Indonesian one from a very special guest: “Di atas langit, masih ada langit” meaning “above the sky, there’s another sky”. He used it to describe the feeling of a place but we think it can describe how people can make us feel too. #OurSingita

Thirsty landscapes echo thirsty souls. The sight and feel of rain refreshes our spiritual state. Water, like a womb, holds possibility. The many states of water reflect our own liquidity - we can be tame, wild, natural, constrained, misty. Ripples move at a different pace from our regular rhythms, captivating and quietly drawing our attention. The unfocused movement counters our busyness, resetting the deeper rhythms of the soul.
