Following the 2016 Trend. 2016 ki meri kahani, the year that changed my life!❤️ 1. Got married to my school sweetheart. 2. Sab kuch itna easily hua, ki humein yakeen hi nahin hua. 3. Tried my hand at vlogging. 4. My first photo got featured on zomato, of a restaurant I visited in Mumbai. Waise koi achievement nahin hai, but butterfly effect kah sakte ho. 5. Edited my first vlog, ek gaane pe, bahot bura tha, lekin us waqt laga jaise maine pata nahin kya extraordinary bana diya. 6. Took her to Goa to show her my restaurant. 7. Closed my first restaurant that we opened in Goa 2010 due to a family emergency. I was not able to manage it. 8. Me and my wife went on our first trip to PAHALGHAM after marriage. 9. I grew a full beard. 10. Took a 60 day solo trip to Rajasthan and Gujarat, that changed everything. That trip is the reason I started my food vlogging journey. #2016

????️Gauss Bazaz doesn’t just taste food—he listens to it. Food was always his one true love—not just the act of eating, but the process, nazakat, affection, and art behind it. Long before YouTube, travel shows like Street Food Around the World, Food Safari, Dolce India, and Highway on My Plate shaped his gaze. Yet something always felt incomplete—the camera moved too fast, the stories ended too soon. That restlessness planted a quiet dream: to slow down and tell food stories the way they deserve to be told. That dream found form on 24th January 2021, when he picked up a camera in Kashmir and filmed his first episode—a Kashmiri wedding. Smoke rising from cauldrons, spices crackling, chefs moving in rhythm—every frame carried feeling. That first upload became the story he had always wanted to share. ????For Gauss, food is memory and time. In a narrow lane of Varanasi, at a century-old shop called Shree Jee, he watched Malaiyyo being made—frothy, saffron-kissed, almost ritualistic. It wasn’t just a dessert, but heritage unfolding slowly, teaching him more about the city than any book ever could. ???? His camera lingers where others rush. He believes cooking cannot be hurried—and neither should documenting it. What truly changes a dish, he says, is people—the flavour of love they bring. That’s why his videos pause, breathe, and listen. ????️ His voiceovers are written exactly as emotions unfolded that day—nothing fabricated, nothing rushed. Authenticity, for him, lives in street food still true to its roots, in forgotten kitchens, dusty stalls, bone china plates, steel thalis, and leaf donas that respect legacy over trends. From hidden eateries in Kolkata and Srinagar to the theatre of a biryani being layered on dum, Gauss Bazaz films food not as content—but as culture, trust, and belonging. ????️Read the full interview at eatmy.news food culture India street food storytelling food travel Indian cuisine YouTube food creator Spiceler Gauss Bazaz authentic food food heritage India
