I LOVE fruit & cheese danishes & this strawberry one with the flaky crust & gooey center was SUPERB!??❤️
.
I know that breakfast pastries can be seen as “unhealthy” because they’re packed with Carbs & calories, but the truth is that if a food brings us fuel &/or pleasure then it can be healthy in its own way?☺️
.
But with that, I do think it’s important to recognize that while certain foods taste amazing, they may not be the best source of fuel in large amounts or on their own because their Macros may be imbalanced.
.
Something that’s high in Carbs will give a quick energy (as Carbs are our bodies main source of fuel), but the energy is short lived as we can burn through those Carbs quickly which has us feeling a lack of energy an hour later & feeling the need to reach for more coffee or food.
.
This is why I LOVE to get yummy breakfast pastries that are high in Carbs & Fats, & pair them with a high Protein & nutrient dense food so that I can enjoy the treat while also being fueled & satiated by the Protein & Micro pairing???
.
So above I had 1/2 a pastry with 1 cup NF Greek yogurt mixed with mashed strawberries??What’s cool about doing this is I got to enjoy this breakfast 2 days in a row?
.
Other high protein options I’ve paired with breakfast pastries are egg white & veggie scrambles or Protein shakes?
.

I LOVE doing “Prep Once, Eat Twice” meals because it makes it SO EASY for me to prep in the evening to enjoy 1 for dinner & then 1 for lunch the following day! Though of course this could be a great dinner for two option?

I saw these mini burger buns at Trader Joe’s
& knew I needed them because I always LOVE to find foods in minis because they’re typically VERY easy to make Macro Balanced Meals with?

Though actually these buns are not that “mini” in my opinion & could probably perfectly hold a regular patty with just a little bit of it sticking out, I want to try that soon☺️

In general, I suggest for my clients to have Protein & Micros(veggies/fruit) prepped (or to get some pre-cooked options at the store) because if you’re able to have easily accessible Protein & Micros at each meal then you can feel more fueled & it will be so much easier to hit your Macros because you can then just add in Carbs & Fats as needed!

This is great also compared to traditional meal prep if you don’t want to have the exact same meal each day! Here I show different ways to enjoy chili based on when it’s consumed or just based on preference??

?Anybody need this reminder? I know Monday’s can feel like they need to be a “restart” after the weekend, but babe, PLEASE do NOT give into extremes today to “make up” for whatever happened over the weekend ??

You don’t need to feel guilty for enjoying yourself & you CAN lose weight without extremes! I would NOT blame you if you’re feeling defeated/burnout or like you need to “cheat” on the weekend because you’ve been trying to reach your weight loss goals by…
❌Cutting out sugar
❌Ditching Carbs
❌Avoiding foods you love ???
❌Doing excessive cardio

These methods are extreme & actually unnecessary for you to reach your goals!?

It took me years to ditch the “all or nothing” mindset with fitness! I would bounce around from “quick fixes” to total overindulgence which lead to me spinning my wheels with 0 results. Then I went to the other extreme of being a “clean eating” cardio bunny & I lost weight in a extreme way that lead to binging, no period, & no energy. Both extremes were SO unhealthy & made me lethargic & weak?
.
Embracing balance for the past 4+ years has allowed me to maintain a stronger body & a better relationship w/ food & I couldn’t be happier?(even though I’m 10 lbs up from my original low “goal weight”, I didn’t need to be small to shine✨)
.
Focusing on balanced habits can allow the REAL YOU to shine through! You don’t have to feel starved or hate exercise to lose weight & focusing on balanced habits now can make you feel good while losing fat & teach you what habits you need to keep your results for life!
.
Balanced habits include:
✅Protein + Micros at each meal
✅ Drink 1/2 bodyweight in water oz
✅ >5K steps/day
✅ Fun foods ~20% of daily calories
✅ Daily Treat to satisfy sweet tooth
✅ Progressive workouts
