Well it was another amazing weekend at the St James Court Art Show in Louisville KY! Thank you to everyone who came out in spite of the heat, remembered me, made conversation, took home artwork, took a few precious moments of your time on earth to look at something I made. My family and friends who came - THANK YOU!!! Big shout out to my right hand man, Uncle David. OG pink pony club. It all adds up to one little girl’s dreams come true. Art every day, forever. Y’all wore me out, but I still took my tired arse to the woods for a rainy woodland walk at Mammoth Cave National Park as a post-show treat so here are some pics from the trail. I’ve just completed the latest painting in my Golden Wood collection!. “Dewdrops on Clover” ☘️ It made me a little dizzy there at the end, but I covered one eye and pushed through lol. It was so easy to lose my place if I looked away! Prints of my original painting “Foxfire” are now in the shop! Starlight needed an earthbound sister, and so I looked to mushrooms for my inspiration. Foxfire is a bioluminescent fungus that emits luciferin, an enzyme that glows in the dark, the same thing found in fireflies. This was a joy to paint, from start to finish. I don’t often hit a flow state when I paint - it’s more of a push and pull, more struggle. But this one, not so! #thediggingestgirl #blockprintmagic #painting #foxfire #mushroomgoddess
