???? Ingredient Spotlight: Omega-3 Source: Long chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), primarily derived from fish oil or algae. ???? Key Benefits •Supports cardiovascular and heart health • Helps reduce systemic inflammation • Supports brain, mood, and cognitive function • Improves joint comfort and mobility • Plays a role in eye health and vision • Supports healthy lipid balance ???? What Is Omega-3? Omega-3s are essential fatty acids that the body cannot produce in sufficient amounts. EPA and DHA are the most biologically active forms, and intake from diet alone is often low. Modern diets tend to be omega-6 dominant, which is one reason omega-3 deficiency is so common. ⚙️ How It Works EPA and DHA are incorporated into cell membranes, where they influence inflammatory signalling, vascular function, neurotransmission, and lipid metabolism. Adequate omega-3 intake helps shift the body toward a more balanced, anti-inflammatory state. ???? Dosage & Safety Notes For general health, 1-2 g combined EPA + DHA daily is a solid baseline. Therapeutic intakes often sit around 2-4 g daily, depending on goals and clinical context. High quality omega-3 supplements are molecularly distilled and purified, removing contaminants such as heavy metals and PCBs. This means that, at higher intakes, purified supplements can be more consistent and predictable than attempting to obtain the same daily dose solely from fish. #nothingbutthebest ????????⚪???? #HeartHealth #InflammationSupport #BrainHealth #JointHealth

Why Your Pre-Workout Crashes (And How to Stop It) Most pre workout crashes aren’t caused by too much caffeine, they’re caused by dopamine depletion. Stimulants like caffeine and DMHA push dopamine hard, which can be great for drive and intensity. But once dopamine is used up or broken down too quickly, energy drops, focus collapses, and motivation disappears. That’s where anti crash ingredients come in. Instead of adding more stimulation, these compounds support, preserve, or slow the breakdown of dopamine, allowing energy and focus to taper smoothly instead of falling off a cliff. • Mucuna Pruriens provides L-DOPA, the direct precursor to dopamine, helping replenish what stimulants burn through. • Sabroxy® slows dopamine reuptake, keeping it active in the synapse longer, improving focus, mental clarity, and motivation. • Hordenine inhibits MAO-B, an enzyme responsible for dopamine breakdown, helping extend stimulant effects without increasing dose. • Zynamite® (Mango Leaf Extract) inhibits COMT, reducing dopamine and catecholamine degradation, supporting cognitive endurance and smoother energy curves. The result? ✔️ Less crash ✔️ Better focus ✔️ More stable drive ✔️ Cleaner comedown #nothingbutthebest ????????⚪???? #preworkout #supplementscience #nootropic #focusformula

???? Grey Area Ingredient: Ephedrine Source: A naturally occurring alkaloid found in Ephedra species (and historically Sida cordifolia), though most ephedrine encountered today has been produced synthetically for pharmaceutical use. ???? Key Insights • Potent sympathomimetic stimulant • Strong effects on energy, appetite, and fat mobilisation • Historically used in physique sports • Acts on adrenergic and catecholamine pathways • Now tightly regulated due to safety concerns ???? What Is Ephedrine? Ephedrine is a naturally occurring alkaloid traditionally sourced from Ephedra sinica and related plants. While some herbs were once marketed as “natural ephedrine sources,” modern ephedrine is almost exclusively synthetic, standardised, and pharmaceutical in origin. It has a long medical history as a bronchodilator and decongestant. ⚙️ How It Works Ephedrine increases the release of norepinephrine and directly stimulates alpha and beta adrenergic receptors, leading to elevated heart rate, increased thermogenesis, appetite suppression, and heightened alertness. Unlike caffeine, it has both central and peripheral stimulant effects. ???? Historical Context Ephedrine famously formed part of the ECA stack (Ephedrine, Caffeine, Aspirin), widely used in bodybuilding and fat loss protocols in the 1990s and early 2000s. This combination was sometimes referred to as “T5”, a nod to its metabolic impact, following the naming convention of thyroid hormones T3 and T4. ⚠️ Legal & Educational Notice (UK) In the UK, ephedrine is a controlled substance and is not permitted for use in food supplements. Possession, supply, or sale outside of medical contexts is regulated. The Problem With Using High Stims Every Session ???? High stim pre workouts feel incredible. That’s exactly why they shouldn’t be used every session. When a heavy hitter is used four or five times a week, it stops being a boost and becomes your baseline. Your nervous system adapts, tolerance builds, and stimulation becomes your new normal. The real issue shows up on the days you don’t use it. You don’t just have a normal workout, you have a sub normal one. Not because you’re weak, but because your system has recalibrated around constant stimulation. For daily training, my advice is to stick to pre workouts where caffeine is pretty much the strongest stimulant in the product. Save the heavy hitters for the sessions that actually matter ???????????? #nothingbutthebest ????????⚪???? #preworkout #supplementscience #gymnutrition #performancematters

The Supplements I Use on TRT (No Cycling Required) As promised, this is the supplement stack I personally use as someone who’s on TRT and works in the supplement industry. Every supplement in this stack serves a purpose and nothing needs to be cycled. Supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health, managing inflammation, lipids, energy production, recovery, and hormone signalling. And most importantly, supporting long term health on TRT. If I’m happy using these now, I should also be happy still using them in 20 years time. Whether you’re on HRT or not, this is the mindset that matters. Any questions, drop them in the comments or send me a message. #nothingbutthebest ????????⚪???? #hormonalsupport #longevitystack #supplementstack #supplementeducation

???? Ingredient Spotlight: Ashwagandha Source: A traditional adaptogenic herb derived from Withania somnifera, long used in Ayurvedic medicine to support stress resilience, sleep, and nervous system balance. ???? Key Benefits • Helps lower cortisol and stress response • Supports calm focus and emotional balance • Improves sleep quality and recovery • Reduces anxiety and nervous system overdrive • Enhances long-term stress adaptation ???? What Is Ashwagandha? Ashwagandha contains bioactive compounds called withanolides, which help regulate the body’s response to stress. Modern supplements use standardised extracts such as KSM-66®, Sensoril®, and Shoden®. While all come from the same plant, they differ in withanolide concentration, extraction method, and typical use. • KSM-66®: Root only extract, moderate withanolides, often used for daily stress support and performance • Sensoril®: Root + leaf extract, higher withanolides, more calming and sedative • Shoden®: Highly concentrated extract, effective at lower doses ⚙️ How It Works Ashwagandha modulates the HPA axis, helping reduce excessive cortisol output and sympathetic nervous system dominance. Certain extracts also contain triethylene glycol, which contributes to improved sleep onset and depth. The result is a calmer baseline, improved recovery, and better stress tolerance. ???? Dosage & Practical Notes Most people respond well to 300-600 mg daily, depending on extract strength. Higher doses or prolonged, uninterrupted use can sometimes lead to anhedonia, a “greyed out” emotional state with reduced joy or motivation. This is usually dose related or due to use beyond current stress demands. Cycling or lowering the dose often resolves this. #nothingbutthebest ????????⚪???? #Ashwagandha #Adaptogens #StressSupport #SleepSupport

Paying nearly £20 Extra for the Label? ???? Optimum Nutrition is one of the most recognisable supplement brands in the world, and Gold Standard Whey is often treated as the benchmark. Credit where it's due, it's actually a really good product, but I believe it's very over hyped. When you actually compare the labels of CNP Isolate and Gold Standard Whey, things get interesting. Both products contain 1g sugar per serving, but protein content tells a different story. Gold Standard Whey: Around 76% protein CNP Isolate: Around 86% protein Now factor in real usage. If you’re having two shakes a day, by month two you’re buying another tub anyway, regardless of brand. So the question isn’t as simple as “number of servings” on paper, it’s what you’re happy to spend every time you restock. £74 VS £55? Both are solid products, but in my opinion, branding shouldn’t cost you £20. #nothingbutthebest ????????⚪???? #proteinpowder #wheyprotein #supplementcomparison #gymnutrition
