Cabins that feel like a fairy tale ????????‍♂️✨????????

The Olympic Peninsula is one of the most ecologically rich and uniquely lush regions in the US. With 12 to 14 feet of annual rainfall, the dense moss, lichen-draped branches, and thick forests create a world straight out of a storybook.

Tucked into fern-covered hollows, perched beside misty riverbanks, or hidden among groves of ancient trees, these cabins are as unique as the landscapes they call home.

They’re not just places to stay, but places to listen, slow down, and feel small in the best possible way.

What I see Vs. What I take
.
I still chuckle in disbelief every time I watch this clip. What was suppose to be a serene shot of a bison living its life among the badlands quickly turned into a gurgling and grunting demonstration of when nature calls… Pair that with an attempt a few weeks later to photograph a bald eagle, not a solid (????) start to wildlife photography…

Let me know which one is your favorite shot????????????

It was one of those days from the very beginning—a flat tire on the way in, rain at the trailhead, and unforgiving clouds hiding every view. The drizzle finally let up, only to be replaced by a harsh wind. But just when we hit the edge—cold, spent, questioning how we were supposed to capture anything worthwhile—the sky cracked open. Firelight spilled over the Cascades like it had been waiting for us all along.

Definitely one of the more magical sunsets of 2024.
