Are you a new international student this fall? We suspect your suitcase might be a little bigger than this one if you're travelling to Canada... but are you ready for your UVic experience?

Whether you feel ready or not, make sure you register for an upcoming international student information session! These sessions will provide you with all the information you need to know about immigration documents, travelling to Canada during COVID-19, work authorization, settlement information and more!

Some gifts transcend time, as current @UVicMusic undergraduate Iryna Peleshchyshyn discovered when she received the gift of a treasured 18th century violin to play during her degree program.

The French violin—crafted in 1748 and valued at nearly $35,000—was donated to UVic by well-known local violinist Trudi Prelypchan, who knows a thing or two about being a young violinist: at just 16, she began playing with the Victoria Symphony in 1964.

With over 15 years experience in the Canadian theatre industry, Choo's professional work has appeared on national & international stages through the likes of @CanadianOpera, @ShawFestival & @BanffCentre.

A licensed pyrotechnician who holds a Firearms Possession & Acquisition license, Choo may also be the most dangerous person in #UVic's Faculty of Fine Arts!
