Our angel Whip was joined on the other side by our oldest brother Kory on September 23rd 2020. He was survived by 4 beautiful children. There are not words for the level of devastation and heart break my family is suffering. Please continue to pray for us and especially for the kids missing their parent. Two of the most talented dynamic hardworking people I have ever known have left this world way too soon. They are very deeply missed!!!

Many of you have asked how the Whipsters are doing. They are as strong, resilient, powerful, and amazing as their angel momma!!! These kids are my light that shines through the sadness. They each possess different unique qualities of their mother. They are doing remarkably well! They are happy and thriving and sometimes very very sad but there is no question they are strong. They have a village of love and support. They are encouraged to talk about and remember their mom as much as they want. Their dad has a very special day planned for them to celebrate their mom. All of your love and support especially financially is so amazing and appreciated. Everything donated and all profits from Whip’s crystals will be put into a fund for their future dreams and plans. One Monday in November I was hanging out with Whip during her chemo and I told her how I decided over the weekend I was going to learn how to do macrame. She sat straight up all excited and told me how she really wants to have macrame crystal holders in her crystal shop. For the rest of her treatment we searched and brainstormed ideas of macrame crystal hangers. We went straight from the treatment center to the craft store to get macrame supplies. By the time we got back to her house Whip was exhausted and went to bed but I stayed up late making my first ever macrame creations. I had no idea the role macrame would play in helping me to deal with my grief and sadness. These macrame holders will be available in the crystal shop as a piece of Whip’s dream she couldn’t finish and as another project I was able to make for her business. Over the last 10+ years us five sisters have had countless craft all nighters and cram sessions for shows and sales that I will deeply miss but never forget.

Crystals made this girl so happy! Since she was a small girl she was always drawn to beautiful things which lead her to spend her life making the world more beautiful. I remember her embellishing her pants when she was in 3rd or 4th grade to express her own sense of style. I have never known another person to dream so big and accomplish so much!!! This girl excelled at everything she tried. When I look back over the countless things she has done in her career from how she started to where she ended up as Whip it is mind blowing! The most challenging part of Whip’s cancer journey was not the constant pain, the countless hours spent in treatments and tests, the many surgeries, or the nausea and vomiting, it was that beating it was the first and only thing she put her mind to and all of her energy into that did not go the way she wanted. Whip was born with a giving heart. I remember when she was 5 years old finding things around the house and wrapping them up as presents and giving them to her older siblings because wrapping presents and giving gifts made her so happy. It is no wonder she chose to spend her life sharing love and light. Sharing Whip’s crystals is another gift of happiness for her to share with you. Crystal shop opens tomorrow at 10 am Arizona time. Its this magical angel’s birthday on Friday. The day approaches with a significant amount of sadness and grief, But our girl Whip is luminous and spent her life sharing light. Her birthday seems like the perfect time to share her love through her precious crystals. Whip spent a lot of time studying and learning about the energy and healing powers of crystals and began gathering and investing in crystals with the dream of creating a magical crystal shop to share with all of you. Crystals lifted her spirits and gave her strength as she navigated the largest and scariest storms of her life. Whip’s crystals will be available on Friday August 28th at 10 am Arizona time at Whippycake.myshopify.com. These crystals were all hand picked and chosen by Whip. This is a one time sale. It will not be an ongoing crystal shop. I also encourage each of you to celebrate her birthday by doing a random act of kindness in Whip’s memory. Missing this magical beauty!!!! The grief has really been heavy this week. I figure if I am missing her magic you all probably are too. The second picture was my undoing today. It is a simple picture posted on whippycake.com and yet it represents so very much. I look at the picture that is so perfect in every way depicting sophistication, style, comfort, and beauty. When I look at this picture I see my sister going a thousand miles an hour with a mind spinning so fast most would have smoke coming out of their ears, doing this and that appearing to be scattered and going nowhere and yet pulling together something so perfect and magical. Those with the most perfect planned intention could not duplicate it. I see her suddenly in the middle of a crazy day saying , “oh I need to take a picture and post something real quick” and then creating that picture in a moment on the fly. My heart is really struggling to accept a world without her beautiful magic. It looks and feels like a world without butterflies or sparkles. I try to remind myself that she spread her magic as fast and larger than life as was possible while she was here so we should remember and cherish the beauty she left behind and imagine the beauty and magic she is spreading as an angel. So I will share a quote she loves. “Your life isn’t yours if you constantly care what other people think” great words to live by -Whip

On Monday March 9th Whip magically came up with the energy and clarity of mind to record an update video that she had desperately been trying to put together for all of you. (She never stopped thinking of you and searching her heart for the ways she should share true genuine light and love) --- Through a lot of thought and pondering and consulting close family and friends I have decided to share that video with all of you. It is raw, unedited and a true reflection of our powerful angel who had the audacity to shine bright no matter how her earthly body was suffering. As you watch take note that she recorded this video at 5:30 pm after spending four hours playing games, laughing, and enjoying life at Peter Piper Pizza with her precious kids. It was recorded just 4 days before her body complete gave out on her. She had been unable to eat and swallow very well for several days. She was on heavy doses of continuous IV pain medication to keep the excruciating pain under control and had completely lost her short term memory and vision. The term “recap” had become a regular part of our communication because she was constantly fighting to keep her conscious mind active and focused on what she wanted to say and accomplish even though she couldn’t remember what she just said or what happened minutes ago. She constantly startled awake fiercely fighting to keep her mind grounded and not let any part of her slip away. I have yet to find a word that accurately depicts her magic, power, light, audacity, and fierce stubbornness. Whip!!! Is the best I can come up with because there are none like her!!!!

Whippy Part 1 - Recorded Monday March 9th. Our Angel passed away 4 days later (Friday March 13) She loves you all! ❤️❤️❤️ Second to her babies, sharing her light and love with you was her reason for fighting!!! Notice how she never once says she is dying or her time is ending. She still believed with her whole heart and mind she could continue to fight for more time. Continuing to live on this earth is the one and only thing I have seen her set her mind to that she did not pull off. I’m so grateful to know her spirit and magic live on.

Many of you asked about Whip’s babies. They are happy and well. They spent 4 days with me last week which did much for my soul. Like their mom, they are resilient, fierce and full of love and life. They miss their mom and talk about her often but are still shining bright. They have an army of people loving them and supporting them. Thank you for all of the love and support that has come in so many ways from all of you!!! Our girl’s spirit lives on bright and powerful!!!
