@fl2k E1 - 8.11 @ 171 - red light ???? Not the way I wanted this to end ???? I jumped the gun by .05 seconds and got a red, but stayed in it anyway and clicked off another 8.1. Despite the ending, I’m so glad I finally made it to FL to experience this event, and spending time with my racing family makes everything worth it. On top of that, my car ran consistent 8.1s and is going home in one piece so I couldn’t be happier. I had a great run and now I get to spend the last day just hanging out and watching racing. Racing at this event took a lot of preparation and coordination and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my community. TX2k25 Day 4 Q6 recap ???? It’s never fun having an issue pop up at the starting line, but better there than halfway down the track. OEM clutch pressure sensor failure is super common on the R35 - an issue that contributes to the “glass transmission” stereotype. Luckily @dodsonmotorsport makes an improved aftermarket replacement sensor, and I’m super thankful that @jotechmotorsports had a set on hand. One sensor is in the valve body, and the other two are inside the transmission case near the clutches. I NEVER thought my team would be the one to drop a transmission in the pits, but @chrisvr35 refused to let me go out like that. @fl2k Q2 - 8.14 @ 169 mph ???? We replaced the line lock and turned the boost up a bit for today’s runs and she’s MOVINGGGGG. I wish I had an in-car video because I was screaming the entire way down ???? this run placed me at the very top of the second DCT bracket. I skipped Q3 due to an issue (I’ll make another post about that), and by the end of the night I got bumped down to 8th. @fl2k Q1 - 8.5 @ 167 mph ???? I turned the boost down for Q1 to get a feel of the track and just make sure the car works after all the tuning adjustments we made over the last couple months. After a few rain and oil delays, we finally made it to the starting line around 9pm. My line lock wouldn’t hold so after a few tries I decided to skip the burnout altogether and just go down the track. I still managed a 1.3 60ft and clicked off an 8.5 at 167 mph. I’m not sure if the line lock issue will be resolved this weekend, but I always have the option to do rolling burnouts instead so I’m not worried about it. It was otherwise a solid A-B pass that I’m super happy with, and we’re ready to turn it up a bit as we head further into qualifiers.
